You obviously have the OLD avg software as both of those have since been combined into 1 (The ones you have no longer update)
Download the latest AVG ~

Not true, AVG version 7.5 is supported until the end of this month. see here:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

AMD athlon (tm) xp 1700+

OK I think I can see a main culprit amongst those processes.
Open up Security Task Manager again, click on the entry with the name ContextTool-3, click the button "Remove" and then choose "Send to quarantine". When it asks if you wish to create a restore point, click "yes".
That process (which you will be removing) is an Internet Explorer add-on. It creates a toolbar on your browser which not only will be slowing your PCs performance down, but also is very likely to be the culprit for the random closures of the internet.
By sending it to quarantine it will be denied permission to run, and therefore your internet browsing should be quicker and without the random closures.
By looking at the result of Donnie's suggestion, you have a low amount of RAM in your computer suggesting it's quite dated. This will probably mean that your PC performance will be slow no matter what you do on the computer itself. Of course doing things such as the above will help, but it shall not provide excellent speeds due to the hardware being limited in its spec.
If you are interested in "upgrading" your system, may I suggest an upgrade of RAM. You can buy this off eBay, Amazon etc and you would be required to fit it yourself within your computer. Do you know anybody near you that may be willing (and able) to fit it for you, if you were to purchase it? If so, and if you're interested in upgrading your RAM, I'd suggest making another topic in this forum asking MSEers for advice regarding what type of RAM is needed, as I'm not that experienced in that area.
Hope this helps!0 -
It may also be worth scrolling down a bit on that list (for us to see the next ones down) and posting another picture of it up, for us to check for any more.0

Hi Gill,
I'm afraid I don't know much about getting rid of spam.
If you use an email provider such as Hotmail or MSN, you should be able to up the level of your spam filter.
This may put non-spam emails ending up in the spam folder, but a quick look in your spam folder every day and retrieving any non-spam is better than having to delete every spam email in your inbox.
Other than that I'm afraid I don't have any more suggestions0 -
You can try Mail Washer for problems with Spam with Outlook and similar.
To find out what RAM is in your computer, use CPU-Z.
Have you McAfee Virus Scan installed?
Otherwise, Im not sure why you need the Instant Updater...nor do you need the Real Networks Scheduler...0 -
i will post another pic for you from further down.
donnie i dont know what them things are you said in last post i dont think i have got that mcafee thing. also do you know what netropa hotkey is its always running in task manager0 -
nhksrv.exe (Netropa Hotkey Server) - Details
The program called nhksrv.exe is used to allow multimedia keys on Dell keyboards to function correctly. If you stop this process all of the 'normal' keys on the keyboard should still function, but the multimedia keys will not. Only stop this process if it is causing instability to your system.
nhksrv.exe is flagged as a system process and does not appear to be a security risk. However, removing Netropa Hotkey Server may adversly impact your system.
The Process Server database currently registers nhksrv.exe to Dell (Netropa). This is part of Dell keyboard drivers.Ex forum ambassador
