E 24/11/04 Another Dell Dimension 2400 Deal

I let my 2400 come with just a cd drive,then purchased a DVD drive,DVD burner and nero software from ebuyer.
Most upgrades via Dell are too expensive,but the DVD drive upgrade is ok,at around 15 quid.
I would also recommend a free software programme called DVD shrink.
Using this in conjunction with Nero handles any DVD disc you throw at the burner.

I've heard that DVD shrink is good, and there's a version of Nero 6 CD/DVD Burning Software (PC) available for just the £3 postage from Savapoint.

Cant find a place to put in the 5% discount code when buying the system minus monitor as described a couple of posts above. Any help appreciated.

Dell describe the voucher vaguely as "5% off selected Dimension desktops and Inspiron Notebooks" so presumably the system minus monitor does not qualify.

This system offer and discount voucher both expire today.

But Dell are in the business of selling computers, so there'll be fresh offers and discounts. Just keep an eye open for the offer that suits you.

Which Dell deal have you been using?

People have reported receiving their order already under the deal in this thread, and other people have successfully ordered using the posting here, but are possibly still waiting for Dell's pdf order confirmation.
