It was for both - it was honestly exactly the same as the last one. I must of been sent that invitation by mistake. I still did it, I probably came across a bit better coz I knew what questions she was going to ask!
We supposedly hear on Monday night.
She did say again that she didn't know when the next training class would start and that it could be up to 3 weeks.0 -

Hi,
Unfortunately today all employees have been informed that their main client in the UK will be pulling out at the end of May.
What a great shame - hopefully another client will come along.0 -

Hi Everyone, I work for TT,
Just so everyone knows whats actually going on! Only one division/department of the main client has been pulled due to the client having cut backs and bringing that division inhouse due to the current economic climate. As for the other divisions handled by teletech they are unaffected. and employment still continues just at a slower pace. We where told this today. So nothing really to worry about as there are other rumours going around regarding TT's expansion:j. and remember they have more than ONE client!
Good Luck those of you who have applied. :T

It might be "only" one department but it is the SALES department. All the sales staff and their team leaders are going to be unemployed. That might be "nothing really to worry about" as far as you are concerned but to all those people it's a big worry.0 -

nestgc you have taken my comment completely out of context, "nothing really to worry about" was quite obviously intended for people anxiously anticipating the progress of there application. making a positive out of a negative. The reality is the world is in a really bad place but we need to focus on the positives, and TT hasn't just got rid of the agents on those campaigns, if those agents are good at what they do they will be given other opportunities.
If your going to write such a bold statement "unfortunately today all employees have been informed that their main client in the UK will be pulling out at the end of May." it's useful to make sure you have and state all the facts in the situation.potentially successful applicants might decide to withdraw or not evan apply after reading something like that.
Anyway i dont want to make a big deal out of it, as they are still urging people to apply as there will be future training dates and positions, future to them meaning in the next 3-4 weeks as the turnover naturally in call centers is so high.
Good Luck again to everyone whe has recently had interviews !!

Yes it's true, the sales dept. will be losing staff at Teletech, but it's not definite that ALL of the sales dept. will lose their jobs. Perhaps some will be relocated to tech support - Teletech are going to help those affected as best they can.
Your original post:Hi,

Stated that ALL staff at Teletech were going to be jobless from the end of May which is not the case. Your statement was scaremongering to say the least.
Hopefully those affected in the sales dept. will be relocated to other areas of the company.
Whilst it is preying on the back of my mind that tech support may be next, there is no point in stressing over something which may not happen.
Cross each bridge as we come to it and hope for the best.
Have just read the last post from KzakQ (hence my edit) - I second everything you are saying!0 -
Well written modavida!!! :T0

It is not obvious or I would not have commented on it. To me you come across as "I'm all right Jack - to heck with the rest". I'm just pleased my daughter doesn't work in the same department as anyone who doesn't show the slightest bit of compassion towards any redundancies. If it's just the case that you started writing before your brain was in gear then so be it.The reality is the world is in a really bad place but we need to focus on the positives, and TT hasn't just got rid of the agents on those campaigns, if those agents are good at what they do they will be given other opportunities.
Hopefully they will.

This is the 1st paragraph shown to employees:
""TeleTech regrets to inform you that due to a forecasted reduction in call demand, our client has made a business decision to end the @Home Sales project. Regrettably, it is therefore necessary to close this business project in its entirety, effective Mayy 31, 2009.""
Unfortunately the above paragraph is FACT - if your daughter (or any relative) received it how would you feel?0
