Thnks Cinny, It would just be nice to catch a break. I've tried competitions and surveys, even Bingo and never won anything. Think am destined for debt for life. With Christmas and car insurance time coming i could do with the extra cash is all.
I'll just have to be even stricter next month i suppose.

Try not to worry too much about christmas, you don't have to spend mega bucks for good gifts, go over to Special Occasions and Celebrations part of the forum for some cheap present ideas. I think there is a thread for christmas presents for under £5.
You wont be in debt forever, just keep at it. You can't get it 100% all the time so try not to put too much pressure on yourself.0 -
Pay day today. I feel a little bit better about my debts as i know i'm paying the credit card off even if it is slowly. I also think that it looks like we'll have all the money for the bed on time to pay it off. so i'm relaxing about it. I'm going to be overdrawn by the end of the week but i can't afford to worry about it as i know my credit is still good, i know i'll get there in the end and most of all i know i'm in a better position than some. My overdraft will be gone at the beginning of 2009 i'm confident about that fact. It doesn't stop me being upset about being overdrawn (my biggest bugbear!!!) but i can sleep better at night now i know i just need to keep chipping away at it and it'll all go! I've decided not to panic about money for a short while. Things are looking up. OH has gone for a second job and is working over christmas for double time so that money will go towards our debts. I'm on the lookout fr the next ebay 5p listing day too. Got a nice payout due soon from Quidco too. All will be fine. xxDebt to clear: feels endless...

Wow it's been ages since i was on here! Have had time off etc, am now fairly rested and ready to tackle the money issues again! I've sorted out that we are going to be ok to pay off the bed, then OH has said to concentrate on credit card and we will both also tackle overdraft. I think the way i'm going to do it is to put a random amount away ach month until there's enough to pay off the overdraft, otherwise if its there it all goes to tesco! If i can cklear it one swoop it will be best. I'm looking forward to getting rid of the bed debt, althogh as we have a new tv we will have that to pay for but OH ha just got a 2nd job so he says he will be paying all of that himself. All in all things are starting to look up for us!!! Tink xxDebt to clear: feels endless...

Things are not going well. My car had a problem and the bill was £200 which took me even further into my overdraft. so i have have even more debt now, yippee. really annoyed with myself for slipping on the spending front and thinking the odd sandwich etc won't hurt as now it is having an effect on my overdraft which unfortunately means i'm losing sleep over it. My mum has offered a loan that i could pay back when i can afford but i feel guilty for taking money from her, but i'm stuck in a vicious circle.Debt to clear: feels endless...

This is going to be a difficult month as it probably will for everyone. I have 4 more presents to get for christmas plus my OH's. I also have 2 christmas do's which i will need to budget for. Am tired of having no money so am imposing a strict spending limit for all things and then maybe i can get out of my overdraft by February. My OH has been really supportive and taken on more financial responsibilities so i can clear my debts. I hate the fact i can't afford a nice gift for him.Debt to clear: feels endless...

Tinkabell, any chance that what you want to get him could be bought off of amazon?
If it is you can join a site called DooYoo when you can write reviews on just about anything, you need 10,000 points for an amazon voucher (a £10 one i think?) you get 500 points per review and extra points for people rating them. if you join PM me your name and I'll add you to my friends so I can rate them for you. 10,000 sounds like alot but I joined last wednesday / thursday and I've already passed the 10,000 mark.0 -
Thanks Cinny i'm already on there actually! My reviews need to improve a bit though. I haven't been on in a little while and maybe i will try earning more as i think i can get it one amazon.
Am going to obsess over not spending until next pay day and see how i go as all but a couple of presents are now bought thanks to tesco last night.Debt to clear: feels endless...

I've worked out how much i need to spend this moth for personal bills and presents until next payday and it will put me 200 into my overdraft. If i can make this the worst it gets i may be able to get out of the overdraft a bit more. Time to be leaving the cards at home i feel!!! But 200 is better than 500 which was this months situation. Wish i could get a bonus from somewhere. time to get reviewing on dooyoo i feel. And getting things on ebay.Debt to clear: feels endless...
