Well so far so good. The buyer's survey was done on Monday and the agent told us this afternoon that the BS had issued their mortgage offer today. I completed our property questionnaire and got that off to the solicitors. Not sure whether the buyer's solicitors will use the searches in our HIP or get their own done. i suspect perhaps to emphasise that there is no conflict of interest (different people but same group of solicitors) they may use their own. All we do know for certain is that we will either complete on or before 17th October or we won't complete at all - our buyers have to vacate by then.0

Fair play to you.
You've played it by the board and hopefully it'll turn out trumps :T

Not sure if anybody remembers but a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that one of our neighbours knocked on the door asking if he could have a look round. Thought nothing more of it until today when his wife and her brother knocked. Apparently the brother wanted to buy it. To cut a long story short he is currently renting but needs to move out by the 17th October. His second offer was £ 225,000 (asking price was £ 229,995) which we have accepted. Now fingers crossed that we exchange and complete.
I wish you all the luck, you are going to need it. I "sold" my house earlier in the years 3 times and all fell through, until contracts exchange the SOLD board is just that, a board.0 -

Agreed. The only thing that is in our favour is that the buyers HAVE to vacate their current property by 17th October.
Did any of your 3 aborted sales reach agreed mortgage stage?0 -
Keep on top of it....the biggest factor in sales failing is the time delay between agreeing a price and completion.
Congrats.0
