Not sure if anybody remembers but a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that one of our neighbours knocked on the door asking if he could have a look round. Thought nothing more of it until today when his wife and her brother knocked. Apparently the brother wanted to buy it. To cut a long story short he is currently renting but needs to move out by the 17th October. His second offer was £ 225,000 (asking price was £ 229,995) which we have accepted. Now fingers crossed that we exchange and complete.

Good job!!!! Keep those fingers crossed it all goes through.0 -
hope it all goes through, make sure your solicitor is excellent, you dont want them cocking things up or holding things up for you in any way
Fingers crossed x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
It's not sold until the moneys in the bank. You've had an offer, thats all.0

Good luck westv. Hope it all goes through OK with no hitches.
We put our restaurant on the market beginning of May, had an offer within 5 weeks, buyer telegraphing approx 1/3 of selling price to our solicitor's holding account on Friday, completion set for next Tuesday and buyer starts trading Tuesday evening. Good things happen too!0 -
The Selling Stakes is an event that has many fences. We've cleared one of the largest but know that Completion is coming up and often snares an unwary nag!0

Well done on your offer....we completed 3 weeks ago, only 6 weeks after we accepted our offer...everyone warned us about falling through deals but ours went without a hitch...luckily! Hope this is the case for you too!!
PS....Thats not a bad offer compared to your asking price in this market...well done!0 -
Many thanks everyone.
The asking price was competitive in relation to properties that had sold and that are currently on the market. The offer price is about what I was expecting but, of course, I'm still very happy that someone came along and offered it.
I'm also glad that they need to complete fairly quickly so there's less time for something to go wrong!!0 -
I see that the other agent we had (who didn't get the sale) has now re-listed all their available properties so they show as "available" or "sold stc" from today's date on Property Bee.0
