"STOP!" he said in a firm voice. "Have you got a license to drive that thing?" Ethel fished around in her handbag, pulled out a Kit Kat
wrapper and held it up to him. "OK" he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall. As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one wheel,

"STOP!" Have you got proof of insurance?" Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a beer coaster and held it up to him William nodded and
said, "Carry on, ma'am".

"Oh, no!" said Ethel, "Not the breathalyser again!"

Hello everyone from sunny kent!!!!
We have had a lovely day here - went to watch football and our team won :j .
I've now been back at work for two full weeks and the work itself is going fine. But (there's always a but isn't there) they have royally !!!!ed up my leave entitlement. Unfortunately I think I over-reacted. Rationally I know it will get sorted out but I still ended up in tears for most of the morning. I left work at 2 yesterday so there wasn't time to sort it out before I left and they have assured me it will get sorted out but it has ruined my weekend because I wanted to book my next week away and don't want to do so until I know if I have any leave left for christmas. I still can't stop thinking about it and am flipping between being really angry and really upset.
Basically I work only 50 weeks per year, full time which is 35 hours per week.
This equates for pay purposes to 33.65 hours per week.
they have recalculated my paid leave and told me that after november I won't have any left and that I should only be working 33.65 hours per week as this is all I am paid for  . The only reason I took a pay cut was so that I could have 10 days unpaid leave a year for DH hospital appointments. It is absolutely no use to me whatsoever to cut my working hours by 1.35 hours each week. I mean that's going to get me all the way into central london from kent for a hospital appointment, then back home to drop DH off and then back to work isn't it? As if. What a bunch of plonkers.
Sorry about the rant.
Anyway how can I stop myself from reacting like a complete wimp when anything goes wrong? How do I explain to my new team leader that I can cope with my work, what I can't cope with is things going wrong like this?
She doesn't know all the background ( I did tell her that she would need to know but we haven't been able to make the time to sit and talk - only been doing the new job for a week).
I also over-reacted earlier in the week when I found out the hospital had told the GP reduce DH medication - my reaction was that I got home and burst into tears, whilst on the phone to the mental health team.
We still haven't had all our needs assessed including my carer's assessment, we still haven't been given a copy of DH care plan (assuming they have actually written it up - I'm sure it is all in the care plan co-ordinators head). It's at times like this I wish I had loads of money and I would just go buy a farm in the middle of nowhere and ban the whole world from my life.

IRISH BLONDE IN A CASINO
An attractive blonde from Cork arrived and bet twenty-thousand
dollars on a single roll of the dice, at the casino.
She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm completely nude".
With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and yelled, "Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!"
As the dice came to a stop, she jumped up and down and squealed."YES! YES! I WON, I WON!"
She hugged each of the dealers and then picked up her winnings and
her clothes and quickly departed.
The dealers stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?"
The other answered, "I don't know - I thought you were watching."
MORAL OF THE STORY *
Not all Irish are stupid and not all blondes are dumb, but all men
are men.Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
Hello all. Hope Saturday has been kind to you all
I've heard Britney's new song 'Womanizer' online. I like it. I'm not sure it's her very very best, but it's very catchy and electro. She says Womanizer a little too much, but it goes quite well with the pace of the song.
Can't wait til the video hits our screeens0 -

Hi geminilady
Yep, definitely going to be one of those you won't forget easily. A love or hate song, but will be humming it no matter what
Yes, the vocals don't have alot too them. Some would say quite lazy as it sounds like it didn't take very long to record.
Has it hit the radio yet? I've only heard it online and I haven't listened to the radio in many years. I have the music channels on Sky on every day for about 8 hours, so await the video with little patience :rotfl: I've heard the rumours of what it could be like, but nothing has been leaked yet.
I still wish she had released Radar as she was going to, on the last album.0 -
Thanks Katie and shaz x

Click the big 'listen now' sign under her surname
No release date for the single, which is not too bad as I always buy numerous copies, so I can save up. The album 'Circus' is out in the first week of December to coincide with her 27th Birthday.
I'm not too keen on her being on X-Factor. I like the fact she is untouchable and doesn't perform often, firstly as I want her to sort herself out, and she isn't there yet, and secondly some artists are just too big for some things.
No idea why they are calling this a comeback, she only hasn't released a single for 5 months.
Can't wait anyway. I've only dedicated the last 9 1/2 years of my life to her :rotfl:0 -
I'm loving it the more I hear it. It's just so catchy :j
The vocals aren't that strong, but it hasn't stopped everyone else in the last 20 years :rotfl:0
