Depression Support Thread

Thanks Septemberblues, Im currently on Annual Leave (after taking a year maternity) and I have been assessed by Occupational Health as being fit for return to work on phased return.

That place holds so many bad memories for me though, some days I think Im going to be ok but today I just can't face it.

Been out for my blood test. I thought it was never going to end - my blood was coming out that slowly.lol.

I saw my friend Stuart in town and we had a lovely chat about consultants, psych wards and how nutty we both are, :rotfl:

Oh, and the bus timetables here are screwed. Two buses had been missed out this morning and because of that when the bus finally came it was packed full, and more people kept getting on without people getting off.
I panicked...a lot....but hey.....I survived.

Hello all, Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days. I'm still very new to all this and it's very scary for me.

Well I was going to post to say how worried I still am about going back to work but it seems like budget-budd has taken the words right out of my mouth. How spooky!

Anyway have just got back from seeing my new doctor. He was really lovely and has referred me to the community psychiatric services so am waiting to hear from them. The thing is though I have told him that I'm feeling worse not better, more and more anxious and have started self harming again. To cut a long and horrible story short he has told me that I can never go back to my job if I want to be well. This has knocked me for six and I've been crying ever since. I know he's right I've been thinking it myself but it's still a real shock and becomes real to hear someone else say it.

So that's where I am. Sorry to depress everyone, I just can't think straight and don't know what to do. I told him that i had to go back as I was the main breadwinner but he said I knew myself that I couldn't.

So in shock and very scared and worried.

I know I haven't been here very long but I'm really down about this and any support (or ideas) at all would be really really appreciated.

I hope you are all ok I am fine This morning my parents came over to see me and then I went on Banquet in a box website to order 3 meals for my birthday so my parents have a meal and I have one as well.Got some lovely puddings ordered as well,The order was a mess when I did it but they rang and said they recieved it which was very good customer service,having it delivered at my parents for 12th September as the food will be used on the Saturday for my birthday as it will need time to thaw before Mum cooks it all in her oven.I so cant wait also went on the dodgems today at the funfair for £2.00

Join the club. I wouldnt mind if the mods just dropped me an email or a PM to say someone had complained or I had broken one of the rules but its annoying when one minute a posdt is there and the nexit it isnt. Still on the bright side whole threads disappear on DT:rotfl:
