I myself have no good reason for suffering with depression. I haven't suffered the loss of a loved one (touch wood) or had a special trauma. I just came down with it. When people asked me why I had it I couldn't tell them because I just don't know!

Depression can arise at any time for any reason.

Some days I get more down than others. Sometimes I know why, sometimes I don't.

People who don't understand, could one day, either directly or indirectly, be in for a shock.

I totally agree. No one knows if, or when it'll hit you. And even if it does, it affects us all differently. It is a horrible illness.

Got a counselling session tomorrow, through a pregnancy crisis charity. I looked into counselling before, but my Pysch refused to sign off on it, so I won't be mentioning it to her. I need someone to talk to, and I can't see how it would be bad for me to talk to someone.

Good luck for tomorrow FG. You only need to talk about what you want and I think it's worth taking this opportunity, it may help. You'll never know if you don't try, so I think you're doing the right thing.

Did the psych say why they wouldn't sign off on it? Sounds odd.

It would conflict with the other treatment I'm having. The other treatment being - nothing. Weird!

    :hello: Everyone,

Hope you are all ok,I am fine, had a good day,saw my church friends this morning and had a free coffee and tea with them, then I went to my parents for lunch,Had an upset tummy today and my ingrown toenail is bad and not any better so ringing my surgery first thing tomorrow at 8.30am to get an appointment to see a doctor :)

I have some good news to share, does anyone remember a popstar called Yazz way back in the 80s and her hair was short, blonde and spiked? well shes coming to my town a week tomorrow to do a one off concert at my local church at 7.30pm and a friend invited me along as her guest to see her perform and have some nibbles too, other people have to pay to see Yazz £5 advance or £6 at door but I am a member of Open House which is open on a Thursday which is why I went today and going as a guest of Open House too.I am so excited I can tell you and my autograph book will be going along and I will take some money as Yazz has done a new album of which songs from that will be at the concert :)

My tummy is now better as dad gave me some medicine :)

*hugs* to everyone that needs one

    love and light,
