Hi again blackclouds. I can't help but agree with the others about accepting the very kind offer from your very dear Dad. Off course your Mum & Dad are finding it hard, you're their Son and they love you, so accept their offer as that alone will help them too to be able to sleep at night for now. They'll feel so much better alone for having helped you, let them do so and relieve you for a while.

You're quite low now and anything that tugs at your heart on the telly or any other way will make you emotional, even though you'd probable not normally be like it. Just let those tears flow, it'll do you so much good and you'll feel much better for it. One way or the other this is all sent for a reason and some day you'll be able to look back on it and see the reasoning for it all. Accept that for now and battle on getting a job.

Keep this thread going, it's much better that way. Keep that chin up blackclouds, those black clouds will lift, given time and patience..... then the blue ones will follow. Bless your parents and be thankful for them, they sound lovely!:)

    Sue.

I just popped on to say hope you enjoy the snail hunting!!

You could do blackberry picking too if you have any hedgerows nearby.

    Enjoy the weekend.

Have you been over to the "up your income" board on this site yet and signed up for all the clicks and surveys, slice the pie, bview etc - not masses of money to be made but they DO all add up and come in dribs and drabs of money and vouchers that can be useful. Even the vouchers from pigsback etc can be used for basics like food and toiletries.

As I say, I know it doesn't equal a full time salary, but it might help to fill in the gaps if a new salary still leaves you with a shortfall.

  • Hello peeps

Decided to keep posting on this thread rather than opening a diary for now as it has the story from day one on MSE right here.

Had a great weekend with my wee one and slept peacefully for the first time with having the wee one sleeping under my roof, just made me see the important things in life. Wee one was a sweetie over the weekend having sussed the situation out to an extent, and said I just had to go into a working place and tell them I was a nice man and needed pennies for my house and they would give me a job. Got to love the way kids break it down simply.

Anyway had an interview today and hopefully will be back for a second interview as I think it went well. Stuck on my old suit and found £10 in the pocket so that was a bonus.

Anyway going to get a loan from my Dad to pay this months bills before meeting with Debt Advisor and have listed 230 items on eBay and loads more to go on.

Staying positive, no tears since Saturday morning :T

  • Just a quick one tonight, since the highs of the weekend I have had a rubbish couple of days dealing with all the other problems I have that are not directly related to my finances but nevertheless not completely separate. Need to have a hunt for that positivity I had the other day I'm sure I dropped it around here somewhere.

Hi again blackclouds. Don't worry about such times as you're bound to have a 'swings & roundabouts' time until you can at least get yourself a job or sell the house. Keep positive and hopeful about success with the latter.

By the way, I found your positivity just now and have just thrown it your way, be sure to catch it before you leave the board!! ;) Get yourself a good night's sleep and wake refreshed tomorrow.

    Sue

Good luck to you too Buffy! I wish you well.

  • Thanks for finding my positivity for me Sue :D :rotfl:

Had a good sleep and got up ready to face things again, looking at this realistically and forming a plan of action as to how to get out of this hole for now today and maybe it is a way forward. Need to clarify some things and take it a little bit at a time but there is hope

Hope you are having a better day today as well Buffy

Amazing how much the care shown by people on this board helps just now
