as for the last few moc from the DM for example the moc for various mags which stated for use in independent stores and sainsburys/waitrose etc etc, these werent for tescos as they didnt state for use in tescos, even if they scanned, it will soon restrict what yr store takes.

C'est la vie! It changes every week in my Tesco anyway, and depends on which assistant you get too - so I'll pay my money (or not!) and take my chances

I used a load of green and white ones in Boots when Mitchum was reduced and so paid about 25p per item or something, but had heard they don't work in T. There is one on couponnet, if you've used that?

I went to tesco today and used a glenlivet, a mitchum, nicorette, and what hi-fi all without problems on first shop. All scanned fine etc.

Went round again for a couple of things I'd forgotten and tried to use same vouchers with different sa. She wasn't sure so called supervisor saying that a notice had come down not to accept certain coupons but she'd forgotten which. The supervisor was very nice but said they are not accepting the mitchums anymore because they are not getting the money back from the company due to mis-use. The glenlivet she rejected just cos it "looked dodgy" - was v apologetic though, just said they had to be really careful what they accept these days.

I know we are not supposed to scan them and duplicate etc, but what about the ones like mitchum which are unlimited prints? Is it mis-use to print more than one of those? As far as I know everyone has been printing loads of them out.

  • It isn't mis-use to print more than one of them.

But you cannot use 2 x Mitchum deodarant coupons in one transaction unless you buy 1 Mitchim deodarant product.

If you use just one mitchum deo coupon and all the other coupons are different your fine.

So basically, you can print as many as you like, but only use one per transaction/shop.

I wonder why they are no longer taking the mitchums then? It is still sa dependent as evidenced by my shop and still scans through the till, but the supervisor said it was the one they had received notification not to accept.

Maybe she was just bs-ing me because it doesn't look like a proper couponnet type coupon iyswim

Very confusing rules applying now at Tesco...last week at Tesco Extra was told only coupons with 'tick' today SA took mixture( with and without 'tick') but all internet, including Mitchum , did not buy any of the products and used £6 worth on £11 shop( just popped in as had been to the bank and their car park is free and needed something for lunch and wanted to use a Pedigree £1 coupon, as it is stocked there) now going to do ' big shop' at different smaller Tesco, where SA told my friend they will only take internet coupons if they actually sell the product in that store...will let you know if they take the Pedigree one, as I know they def do not sell it there. It would seem the rule is ' there are no rules' ...def depends on SA and whether they are in good humour and you are pleasant.
Getting more confused by the minute....
Just back from regular local Tesco that in the past has taken everything, but told my friend last week now only if product stocked...wait for it.................
    ...
I was told...only take them now if you have bought the product...Is that manufacturers and internet, I asked?..yes, she said...Really, I said , is that a national policy?Yes, she said.....Funny I used them this morning in the Tesco Extra a few miles away, can you please check...big sigh from SA...checkout supervisor came over and said ...customer is right, you can take them even if she has not bought the product , provided we sell it....Big , sigh and SA started scanning coupons, ..Can't take this she said it doesn't have your full name on it ,and we have definitely been told internet coupons must have name on them from now on and this only has your Christian name( couponnet coupon...with a 'tick') Can you check , I asked...Big Sigh...supervisor called again...yes, you can take it( it was the Pedigree one and they do not stock it , but I wasn't going to tell her as she had annoyed me by now....but totally refused the Mitchum one, as where the name is , it only said 'couponnet.co.uk', then , as she was absolutely determined not to be outdone and think she had got one over on me, she refused one that wouldn't scan, I asked her to type it in and she refused , point blank....OK I said, not a problem...I'll use these 2 next week with another cashier here or another store.....I apologised to other customers for the long delay, but said saving the £5.50 today was worth standing my ground for ....
I was pleasant at all times, did not get embarassed or panicky...was very polite even though I knew she just wanted me to take them all back from her and go away...
