  • Hi all. I've been lurking for months now. I find this whole coupon thing facinating!

However, I went to my local Tesco's yesterday to have a go myself. I then had to suffer the humiliation of being told they don't accept any coupons/vouchers now, unless they are the ones Tesco's themselves issue :(

Is this right? Or should I go back and challenge them? :D
  • Just got back from Mr T's Chesterfield Road, I've been told that they do not accept the Mitchum £1.50 or £1.00 ones anymore, has anyone else been told this???

this is nonsense i used one of each of these in 2 local stores yesterday;)

My wife used both yesterday but was told she had to buy Glayva to use it.
Then last night afriend of ours went in and used the Glayva no problem at the same store.
It's the luck of the draw and which S.A. you get.
Last time I went in, the nice young girl with the face piercing took every single one of my coupons with hardly a glance - yahaaaay :T
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D

totally agree - they make it up as they go along:rolleyes: . I went to one store that took every coupon I had and then the following day went to a completely different store ( which is the one I use all the time and have no problems with) and was told that they could only take coupons to the value of a third of my shopping! following day, they took every coupon again - no rhyme or reason to it;)

i was in my local tesco last night with my wad of vouchers ,, when my shopping had all gone through all pavked in trolley ready to pay i handed my wad of vouchers,, to be met by a SA who went ' oh i cant accept all these!!!' at which time she called her CO manager , who told me quite blutly and rude 'we only accept ONE VOUCHER PER PERSON now, or one voucher per item YOU BUY !!!' after a lot of discussion and her making me feel cheap and small , i just paid for my shopping and went home , i have never felt so small and cheap just to try and save me some money , all the other people in the queue were looking at me funny too.. any ideas if this true or she was just fobbing me off,, i am trying at the mo to get email address of manager of store , but with no luck at the mo.
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Yep! yesteday was the last day some of us used both the Mitchums. Today is the official day T not accepting both. But some of the C/A does not know abt it yet so all I can assumed is that some of you might be able to use it today as a last day & 2morrow all C/A should know abt it.

I used both yesterday. But this morning, one of C/A was paying his stuff in front of me, told his colleague that both mitchums are not acceptable as of yesterday. The cashier who served me didnt know abt it until he told her!!!

Now, I can take out my emergency 40p-50 vouchers to make up for the above.

can i just ask are you talking about the chesterfield road store or another store
