Any advice please and although I don't post much I do read and would like to welcome d.edna back
it should scan ok at the price of the item.0 -
I have just been to my local Waitrose and the lovely lady saw my wad of vouchers as I tried just to pick a few out as my shop only came to £19. She said just hand them all over!
Shop came down to £7, result!0 -

Ignore the last number on the barcode and look at the 3 numbers before it.
If it says 062, its 62p off, if it says 100, its £1.00 off etc.
Depending on your store, you won't have to buy any, if thats already their policy.
If its something i want, i tend to buy just one of them, meaning you get it free.0 -
i have been to tesco in sheldon birmingham today and they donot accept any coupons at all unless you buy the item, he did try but the till said i hadnt bought the item
Sounds to me like he may have tried...or he may just have not totalled your bill. Many cashiers subtotal first when they tell you how much to pay, but they need to press the total button before any coupons will scan (except points ones which I believe scan anyway).
Some cashiers play this trick deliberately BTW and pretend the till won't accept coupons.
And some coupons don't work anyway without buying the item (mocs with a Tesco logo usually don't).
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The car was getting a bit low on fuel, so I had to make a Tesco stop!
The till, I've just been to, was kind enough to take all my coupons and open itself before I had to get any cash out.:j.........leaving another happy cashier who now knows where to get her coupons:rotfl:
I don't believe in keeping a low profile, if you are playing by the rules, with legit coupons!!It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)
If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)0 -

On another note!
I emailed Waitrose just to ask what there cupon policy was as I seemed to not be able to find it posted with the other stores on here, I probably missed it. But if like me you were not sure here was my reply.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Waitrose accept suppliers' coupons for any product which we sell, including Waitrose Food Illustrated coupons, whether or not you are purchasing the item for which the coupon was issued and provided that the coupons are valid. However, the quantity of coupons accepted for each transaction is at the branch discretion.
Thank you again for your e-mail and for giving us the opportunity to clarify our position.

Just got back from Mr T's Chesterfield Road, I've been told that they do not accept the Mitchum £1.50 or £1.00 ones anymore, has anyone else been told this???0
-
the 1.50 mitchum one doesnt scan in my local T's, they had to do it manually but I dont use them now, the 1.00 scans fine so always hand it in inbetween some real coupons.0
