Tia/other Scottish mums - DD is supposed to be back to school on Wednesday, but wont be because of the UNISON strike in Scotland. (The strike in England & Wales was in July. Not sure about NI)

 LO is meant to start school on wed, she is so excited, hope it doesnt affect us. Going to go check now:eek:

Bo got up tonight and walked by himself (can't believe it) and he was outside on the grass which he loved. Need to ring the vet tomorrow to see whats happening for this week.

Excellent news!! don't let him overdo it.. but I am pleased he is starting to be able to get about!! I bet by the time the 3 weeks are up you are struggling to keep him still!!

  • I'm in!
Have got to go into work quite a bit this week but need to stay on track with the flying ready for when term really starts back.

DD2s room was attacked today - and have managed to recycle 2 bags of stuff and given another 2 bags to my sister and have 5 more things to list on ebay!

By next weekend the plan is to do DS room to get him up straight and then all kids rooms will have been decluttered!

Right - off to make a cup of tea! See you later!

Not sure which regions its affecting think its all, my school is going to be closed to kids but because i keep my head in the sand at work i didnt realise that I could have been part of a union (and noone mentioned to me) and so may have to cross a picket line on wed I only do a half day but have been told i am expected in or will be deemed to be in breach on contract and may be sacked!! shamed to admit that I dont even now what the strike is about.

I have just told DS that I am doing flylady this week and he said

"oh, that boring housework thing"............I think I have my work cut out in more ways than one! (although perhaps I should be pleased at the fact that he actually remembered what flylady is - something is sinking in!!)
You could try mentioning that 'housework' includes providing food (plus anything else you can think of that he would miss) and that you might stop doing boring things.
