I'm in again. I can't believe how much easier its getting to keep things under control since I found this thread! I didn't get everything done last week, but I was amazed how much I managed (cleaning windows & skirting while on work teleconferences was an inspired move!).

    I also need to:

Sew buttons on a pair of trousers and a jacket
    Hem two pairs of trousers
Get my windscreen replaced before MOT
Book MOT (I'm not sure when its due, but definitely in September and I usually forget...)
    Book school governor training
Get quotes for having my utlity room sorted out
Mow the hayfields either side of the house that used to be lawns... (if it ever stops raining for long enough)

Oh believe me, mine is the house of complete shame as far as housework is concerned......last weekend I started to "declutter" and Pania, one of the DFW regulars came round.

She has been coming round once a week or so for over a year now........and did not even realise that my utility room actually has a sink - despite walking past it as she goes in and out of the house every time :o

I have just told DS that I am doing flylady this week and he said

"oh, that boring housework thing"............I think I have my work cut out in more ways than one! (although perhaps I should be pleased at the fact that he actually remembered what flylady is - something is sinking in!!)

  • I just wanted to say that I have not lapsed, I am following flylady but very difficult at the moment with builders traipsing in and out most days

In a few more weeks when everything is finished I will be back to join you

Ironing all done - I do like to start the week with an empty basket.

Planning on heading up to bed soon, just a couple of things to look at on here first.

I have joined the flylady site, bought the book, started the folder...th whole nine yards....but I have yet to actually do ANY of the tasks:eek:

So Pigpen, you are going to be my new flylady...you say jump, i'll ask "how high?". Hopefully the house will eventually gleam.

I have noticed tho, that you don;t mention 'shining your sink'. Does anybody actually do this?
Hello, welcome and if you want to wear slap all day every day, wear your shoes in the house and shine your sink every hour on the hour feel free.. but I don't care if you do the list in your jammies, don't brush your hair for a week.. though keeping the sink clean is included inthe S&S (swish and swipe) which should be routinely done as part of your own daily tasks!!

    anyway..

I'm in big time this week, only 2 weeks left and back to school.:j

Bo got up tonight and walked by himself (can't believe it) and he was outside on the grass which he loved. Need to ring the vet tomorrow to see whats happening for this week.

Right i best go to bed, see ya tomorrow.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
