Since the original form of travel in Bangkok was by water, I recommend that you do some travel that way. http://www.chaophrayaboat.co.th/

Try reading through the destination information pages and forums for Bangkok and Hua Hin on Trip Advisor. You will find a wealth of information there.

We are staying at the Marriott resort which has a boat to a couple of places in town but the website you linked to will be useful, I have bookmarked it. Thanks

I did that yesterday before we booked but thanks for the suggestion, :T it is all good info I usually do my research on trip advisor for unknown destinations you get a good cross section of opinions...

I was hoping to get some must sees and some good recommendations for eating out as I am sure many members have been to Thailand and have local knowledge....;)

I just thought I would mention it as not everyone is aware that Trip Advisor has forums (I certainly didn't for some time after I had been using it for reviews :o )

Another tip. If you're male, don't look a Thai woman in the eye. Worst mistake you could make*. This is not a joke.
