  • Hi Cady

Just want to say good luck with everything, the only advice I can give is that Quidco is brill, by reducing our home insurance and car insurance and buying pressies through this we have made £300 this year, also survey sites are good, I'm currently waiting for a £10 sainsburys voucher and a £10 Tesco one, also received a cheque from Home of Research the other month for £40, advice on the baby side, do wait until you are in a better position money wise, I lost 2 babies but also have 2 healthy children now and they are expensive, our earnings are slightly higher than yours but we have a large mortgage and what with childcare it is a big shock to the system, think of crimbo pressies as they get older (nintendo wii's etc.,) obviously it is up to you but while you are sorting money out this can also be stressful and not the ideal time to be carrying a baby. Hope this wasn't too depressing. Good Luck xxx
  • Hi Cady,

I've just read through your diary - you are so very positive!!!

One thing though, although you are not entitled to tax credits, have you thought about Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for your hearing issue?

I know someone who has a problem with the hearing in one ear and she claims (and has claimed for a very long time) DLA. Its not a fantastic amount, but at least its something. I think you can claim online too.

    Just a little thought xx
  • Cady i've just read your diary, sorry you keeping getting these knock backs, its so frustrating when you are trying so hard ((hugs)) but well done hun for being practical and making so much effort to sort things, hope you can get some advice on the job front.

You did make me laugh about getting excited about the overtime, I was the same last week when I found I had a interview for a second evening job, I was dancing around thinking who could I ring and then thought they will think i'm mad at getting so excited at the prospect of working nights, think only a DFW could understand :D

Hi well i thought id give a proper update of what is going on... sorry its taken so long for an update but here its goes....

*im doing a lot of overtime (hence the not being on here much)

*The defaulted payment that we had on my halifax loan (we were paying £20 a month to clear the arrers) we paid that with the credit car so were back up to date. I know its robbing peter to pay paul but the card is 0% and the loan is charging us £10 everytime they call us  so that gets them off our backs for now

*Im dreading payday as i was off sick last month and dont know how much im gonna get paid hopefully the overtime and the £60 off mr brown will help (fingers crossed)

*The car is running ok at the moment but could do with a service

*The roof still needs fixing but it has to wait for now

*ive got 2 rugs and some fleeces and stuff ready for winter and still havnt put the heating on

*Got a FREE electric blanket off my mam too which helps take the chill off the bed

*Got 2 months free home insurance for complaining about our premium going up and them not telling us... so its free till december then we will change it through quidco too :D

*And finally we talked and we still want to try for a baby we not going to plan or anything.... but were not going to prevent it were just gonna wait and see and hopefully next year is going to be better

*OOOOHHH forgot to add were getting rid of the sky upstairs as BF has won a free recordable digi box (its a huge compromise as he wont part with the sky tv) so that will save £10 a month

Right thats what has been going on for now its all crazy and rushed as im working loads but its starting to look up (im terrified to type that cos im waiting for it all to go wrong) im gonna start planning my xmas lists now as i know what im getting most people but need to find out how to pay for it all

    Till next time x
