Cady's get out of debt diary

Options
Hi

I thought id jump straight in and start a diary!!!! ive thought wll it cant hurt so here is my situation an my goals:

Me and my partner own our flat and most of my money goes into that, things are ok with that we both pay into a joint account and all the DD's come out of this so the house stuff is ok its just my things.

I have -

*Egg card - £702 - 19.9%
*OD - £600
*Orange bill - £40
*Avon - £118

we have a loan which comes out of the joint account and im not going to tackle this yet as i want to sort these out first starting with my Egg card i pay the min payment on it but am currently doing the payment a day challenge to boost the payments up the orange bill is on a DD paying £10 a month but as its no interest or charges im leaving it as i am with the avon. Im on quite a low wage so cant afford to pay much but im going to make this work !!!

My goals are -

*Get a new job (higher paid)
*make daily payments to egg CC
*clear orange and avon by xmas
*Get egg balance down to £480 or less by xmas
*continue with my silver jam jar challenge

Anybody who wants to jump in and say hi or offer any advice along the way is more than welcome !!

Look at monster for interview tips - worked for me.

    Good luck with your challenge.

You might still want to post an SOA showing all income and bills - as I have cut elec, gas, home ins etc dramatically as well as credit card interest rates and changed mortgage. over the last year I think I have saved £8K putting into practice tips from money diet.

Phew what a start to the week !!!!

found 30p to put in my silver jar, made my payment a day to egg the balance is coming down slowly but its coming down its now £699.98 its never been that low since about 2006 my Target it £480 by xams which will be a challenge down from £708 +++ ( ive only started recording the balance have been paying min mayment since about 2005!!!!) so im going to add it to mya targets above i think my silver jar will help with this challenge too!!!
Got my job interview tomorrow is so nervous but if i get it it will be a good pay rise!!! Finges crossed!!! ive also sent an email to egg as my daily payments are not showing and i also want to know how they calculate my interest is it daily or monthly as i would like to know and also what day each month they ad the interest i think knowing more about my debts and how they work will help me get rid of them better!! and finally i cant log into pigsback to do my clicks so ive emailed them too !!!! what a monday ill update any progress....

Chin up, shoulders down (stress busters!) and the very best of luck with your job interview. Keep that positive attitude as you walk through the door and it should be yours.
