    Hi SmlSave

Oh I think the landlord will become very sympathetic very quickly especially if I and my neighbours stop paying our rent:rotfl:

I am hoping that Strumpet soon feels better because I feel a bit bad that I may have infected him over the ether although I do think that he has caught it from hanging around in draughty bell towers:D

Hope all is well with you?

Hi Strumpet, Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. Don't feel bad about the chips, sometimes only chips will do.

Horace, sorry about your troubles with the neighbour - hopefully it will get sorted out soon.

Hi Strumpet - hope you're feeling better today.

I can't resist showing off now Horace has shown me how to post little icons (don't know what you call them), but here's a  dancing little person to hopefully cheer you up.

    Hello Gang!
Big sorries that I haven't visited my diary in 3 days but I've had the mother of all weeks!

Been attending college Wed / Thur/ Fri whihc has meant really early starts and very late finishes, leaving me bushed! No energy to even log on and post on the diary. Coupled with that, the plasterer has been in all week, I've had radiators off the walls, no hot water, mess, mess, mess, mess, mess as far as the eye can see.....it's been a trauma.

Anyway, college is done now and I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO all weekend (except pop into the health centre for a flu jab tomorrow). Nothing to do except study and drink gin! YIPPEE!!!

Thanks for my rose Horace, it was cool, and you must all teach me how to do these new icons - they're fab!

During the last 3 days, I have managed to obtain another £6 in £2 coins so I'm up to £36 now.

However, with all the disruption at home, I have not been very frugal this week as I've had to eat out rather a bit - simply no time to do anything else.

Anyway, off to find some chilli that I know is in the freezer somewhere, then I'm having an hour on the sofa with an episode of the Bill, cos I deserve it, then I'm going to do a bit of tidying up and then it's bath and bed.

Will try and pop in throughout the evening.

Hope you're all well and hearty.

    Love
    Strumpet....

I am glad that I didnt have your week Strumpet.

Icons is easy - you see them >>>> on the right well underneath is the word More in square brackets click on that and a load more pop up as for roses they are easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Take an @ add some -- and an < and some more ---- and voila a rose.

Toad is off the menu tonight, I haven't any eggs so will have it for tea tomorrow (do I cook the sausages first? ) haven't done it before. Roast lamb is on the menu tonight as OH has turned up - he's going home tomorrow:j I love him really, its just I have stuff to catch up on and he's in the way.

Had a mystery shop to do today in Selfridges, in their posh restaurant only it didnt go to plan - I ordered a steak baguette with rocket and red onion marmalade with some posh vegetable crisps...yum I hear you say, but it wasn't they had covered it with mustard mayo and it made my lips burn (I have a mustard intolerance) I sent it back and had to wait ages whilst they cooked me another steak - this time it was yummy and what was even better is that Selfridges refused to let me pay for it saying that I only need pay for my pot of tea so my lunch cost me £2.50 but I will get £10 for the shop and to get into town I used my free daysaver bus ticket thus saving myself £3. Total money saved today £15.95 - £3 bus fare, £7.95 for lunch and £5 off some No.7 eyeshadow which is going to make a christmas pressie with the free mascara from Eve magazine:D

Well I had best go and look at the lamb and sort out my aunt bessies roasts (OH won't eat anything else and I haven't got any ordinary spuds in:rolleyes: )

Strumpet - get your OH to take you out to dinner, you deserve it especially as you are getting your place ready for his imminent arrival.

    Have a fab weekend.

    Love
    Horace xx

    Thanks for your message H.

I usually cook the sausages first, not because they need cooking but it helps to give them a little colour which looks better. I always leave them whole too but my mum makes it by cutting the sausages up and then pouring in the batter. Strange woman!

    Off to practice some smilies!!!

Actually I'm going to bed. Only watched one of the episodes of the Bill that were recorded - fell asleep towards then end so definitely an omen.

Anyway, if I get 12 hours sleep, I'll be rocking on the revision tomorrow!!!

    Night chuck!
