:rotfl: I am sitting at my computer reading the last few posts and laughing like a maniac!!

Hope the stripping is going well - after years of stripping I know what a thankless task it is. I would just paper or paint over but DH insists we strip.:D Thats actually not bad going after 15 years of marriage is it??

I have failed in my charity shop mission :embarasse to buy a dress. There wasn't even one suitable to wear IN the charity shop Strumpet! Never mind, I've got next weekend.:j

Late posting today - not stopped since I got into work this morning.

Plasterer arrived an hour late so I was late for work - no roasting though - boss very understanding! Plasterer has said that the job is fairly straightforward so that's good news. Still had an outlay of £100 this morning but OH will give me that back tomorrow (I hope!)

Fell off the wagon and had chips for lunch - flying round this morning I forgot to pick up my lunch from home! Rats! Still, I did get 2 x £2 coins in my change so this means I have reached my target for October of £30.

Studying tonight. This will take a lot of energy cos I'm coming on with a cold and just want to have a bath and bed. We'll see!

It sounds like you've had a mad weekend Strumpet:rolleyes: Try not to fret about getting chips at lunchtime - I bet they were yummy:D I had chips on Saturday night - I haven't had any for ages plus they were free (my OH paid for them:D ).

OH was very good, he gave me £7 on Saturday and protected me on Saturday night from the lunatic woman who was trying to break into my block of flats (all she did was ring the buzzers, scream, shout, sob and kick hell out of the front door - she went on for about 2 hours before I called the police). The woman was really abusive towards me so my OH told her that he was going to call the police. I was worried about my neighbour as she often comes home in the early hours after her shift at the taxi office - my OH would have gone out and escorted her in but unbeknownst to me she came home at 11pm. I had a chat with her this morning as we were both moaning to the landlord's handyman who looks after our block, she also called the police and the mad woman was arrested:j

It seems that she was trying to get into the block because her young son was staying with his dad - who has been nothing but trouble since he moved in. Both my neighbour and myself have now said that enough is enough and we want the chap out, either that or we will refuse to pay our rent and both of us will invite the landlord to come and stay at the weekend to hear what we have to put up with:mad:

Had to leave OH on his own on Sunday afternoon as I had a meeting at a marquee company, also got to look around a day spa and was given a 10% discount voucher and some spa samples (just need to save up the £80 to have a facial:eek: ). I also bought some sneaky chocolates too - cost me £6 for 8 chocs and I didnt share:D Oh and I got 2 x £2 coins as change so now I've got £16.

OH gave me £20 last night before he headed off to his hotel, mind you he also left me a pile of washing to do:mad: I have been going out with him since 2003 and he is also my best mate.

Strumpet - get some Vit C down your neck, take some echinacea and wrap up warm. OH can finish the stripping:D

    Hi Dragon,
The chips were very nice actually and cheered me up a bit - a little bit of naughtiness does you the world of good you know!
And it was only £1.60 which was not a great amount. It did spoil an NSD though. That's what happens when you rush though.

Anyway, making up for it today by having lamb curry which I made a huge pan of last night, using the left over lamb from the shoulder of lamb I did for Sunday dinner. And the lamb was originally a Christmas present from work, so I only paid for the veg!

Thanks for the advice Horace. I already take a vast assortment of Vitamins and Oils everyday. I can't have echinacea as it reacts with my drugs and makes me go loopy. (loopier!)Sorry to hear about your mad, freaky woman. She was obviously in a lot of distress but shouldn't have been damaging your flats.

How are you this morning Strumpet? Hot blackcurrant also works when you have a cold - I use the highjuice stuff that they sell in Lidl, it really is yummy and even when you add boiling water to it, remains a bit syrupy which is good for the throat.

Me no like curry but do have a lamb joint in the freezer that I had forgotten about until now, I think I will cook it on Sunday and use leftovers in sandwiches or heat them up with gravy.

Planning an NSD today. Should go ringing tonight for Heptonstall practice but think I'll stay in a nd do some study instead as I'm on a bit of a roll with it at the moment. Did 2 hours last night and really felt that I'd made it count.

OH is staying tonight but will be out at his pole dancing lesson until 10:30, so I'll have the time and quietness I need to study. Can't really do it when he's there because a) I'd rather be with him on the soaf having a cuddle, b) he disturbs me by talking to me when I'm trying to concentrate, bless him!

Plasterer has made a good start in the back bedroom. He really is a great craftsman. I found him on ratedpeople.com and he's very concientious and diligent. I always call him if I need any plastering doing.

Time seems to be passing slowly at the moment - I'm counting the days until payday and I only just had one! Still, October was a good month for me in cashterms - I made very big inroads into clearing my debt.

    Have a good day everyone!

Fingers crossed that your Landlord is sympathetic Horace
