Thanks for all your recipes - I shall try them out on OH and hope that it has the desired effect!
Welcome San Fran - your story made me laugh. I work with a lady from Blackburn and she's always saying stuff like Cuke Buke (Rhymes with Luke)
Horace: Your idea of a spending diary is a good one. I did this once before and was horrified. I will begin on 1st April.
I made some scones yesterday - OH seems to like my baking!NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

Strumpet - I'll join you on 1st April with the spending diary. I need some motivation to do one. Perhaps if we share what we spend money on we'll think twice!Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Did someone mention scones?
I love scones with butter and jam:D
Decided not to go shopping today - I will do some tomorrow when I go to the quacks and have my hair done, I'll go to the bank at the same time and will save even more money by walking there and back:j0 -
Ok then - let's do spending diaries for April.
Are you in H?
Are we to post exactly what we spend on here?
Could be embarassing, especially if you are married to

I don't need a spending diary as I already micro-manage my money. I can tell you exactly how much money I have in various accounts savings and even my business account:rolleyes:
Guess there is no harm in it but be mindful I will get bored after a day or so (unlike my mother who has boxes and boxes of spending diaries going back to when she first got married:eek: )
Anyway can't see why her stupid husband was paying to view - he could just go onto Movies 24 on a Friday night when they have the erotic movies on and you can watch them as part of your bog standard virgin package. Oh and Virgin 1 has that stupid Sexcetera programme on :eek0 -
You're on with the spending diary Strumps. We will note absolutely EVERYTHING we spend. Its going to make very interesting reading.:rotfl: :rotfl:Debt free and Keeping on Track0

In honour of Strumps and his spending diary challenge - I have decided to put off my monthly shop until tomorrow, no matter that I have run out of bread so can't have sandwiches:rolleyes:
Was incredibly naughty today and spent £8 on chocolate - 2 bars are for general consumption and will last me at least a week, the other 3 bars are market research and will be claimed as a business expense:D Treated myself to a bunch of flowers (v. economical as they last 2 weeks at least) and a potted rosemary bush so that I can have fresh rosemary whenever I want. Note, I am getting the frivolous spends out of the way before tomorrow:rolleyes:
But...I did walk to the doctors and back home again about a mile to a mile and a half:j My doctor asked the usual daft questions do you check your boobies - er no, so he started giving me a ticking off then I pointed out that I wasn't genetically pre-disposed to cancer (I have already had my genes checked - well, I had to get something from working in cancer studies:rotfl: ). That shut him up - felt like asking him if he checked his testicular nicknacks:rotfl:
I promise that from now on (or at least for today) to be good:D0 -
Hello Horace - are you joining in with the spending diary challenge then?Debt free and Keeping on Track0
