There are 2 stores in exeter - high st and exe bridges.

    high st (on 2 floors)

    full JK range
    TS long hair range
    modelme
    marie claire
    1 acm
    all premium beauty counters.
pants clearance 1st floor outside lifts.

    exe bridges retail pk

    only JK wipes
    2 acms (check them both)
    only no.7 and fragrance.
good clearance section inside the door.
always loads of cheap memory cards,

Although exe bridges doesn't have such a good range i prefer it as you can park right outside for free and they are coupon friendly :p both do no.7 suncare too.

You know when you do several shops? Do you get served, walk round then back to the till and repeat?
I mostly do mine in all one go and just say to the SA that I want to split my basket into several transactions, I then take out of the basket 'each shop' once one complete I put the next 'shop' out, I have never had a problem, grumble or moan. In fact the SA was more made up than me with my bargains today
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

No need to be like that broclo, I'm glad you find it all simple but I haven't had the chance nor the time to go back and read all the previous boots threads as it moves so fast on here. I merely asked a question as I as confused as to why it wasn't working but thanks to the people on here (yourself included) it now makes more sense.

I'm sorry if I don't find bargain hunting that simple.

    Be like what?

Firstly, when I said that it keeps coming up, I was NOT refering to YOU asking about the TS. The whole of this thread has requests for help on the TS.

Secondly, when I said it was 'ssooooo simple' it was not meant to be condescending in ANY MANNER.

I would hope that the majority of people who read this thread will see that I was not refering to yourself nor being rude. If I was in any way like that then surely I would not try to help people on this thread and in pm/email with their questions?

  • Depends where I am. Sometimes I do, but sometimes I break my shops up, like I did yesterday, by popping to the shop next door (it was NEXT, actually!) in between, or if I'm parked right outside I go out and put my bag of shopping in the car then go back in.
I do tend to try & avoid the same SA twice in one shop if I can, unless they've been particularly nice, I try to go to ordinary tills, then maybe pharmacy tills with my next shop, then photo tills, then maybe No7 tills (although not if I'm trying to get a GWP!)
Maybe this is just me, I feel perculiar going back to the same SA twice in succession, but there's no real reason why you shouldn't, unless you get the feeling the first time that they're the sort of SA who frowns upon people getting bargains!

Thats exactly what I do :)

Stock reply to No 7 SA wanting to keep my goodies there so I pay at her till
    (sans GWP  )

I've got to buy something from the pharmacy and will pay there :p

    Always worked so far!

Good tip for 'splitting shops' ...... if you can, try to shop over a lunchtime, especially on a Saturday !

Do a few 'shops' by splitting basket etc (I usually take my daughters with me so they have a basket each too so that's 3 separate transactions straight away (or more, depending on how much I can fit in my basket ! lol) :p .

Then we usually go and have a coffee somewhere, pop back in about 1/2 hour later and hey presto ..... lunchtime cover/shift change has come on and you've got a different SA :rotfl: ;) !

  • Evening All,

Managed another trip to canterbury Wincheap today (DH wanted to go to Argos & it would have been rude not to! ;) LOL)
Managed to get both Blk & Blk/bwn No.7 Mascara for FREE with pinky! Had a bit of a problem with the Blk one, wouldn't go through the till but the SA was a darling & sorted it out for me :T :T
Had to get some Flexatol for my manky diabetic feet & did the TS with the thermal wrap & blonde glosser & paid £1.01 + £4.99 for the Flexatol so another pinky & till spit :j :j :j :j .
My 7 yr old wanted a high school musical Tooth Tunes toothbrush so she used the pocket money (£7.99) & we got another 2 vouchers :j :j :j
we are going to the Cinema tomorrow at Westwood Cross so hoping to be able to spend todays vouchers there!
    Happy Bootsing!

I know i'm probably being really dumb but can someone tell me how you get more than 1 huggies voucher. I really want to get some goodies for my niece as she is only young and has 2 youngsters (youngest 1 week:D) and I thought the glitch on the nappies would really help.

    TIA

I think the TS glitch is quite a confuzzling one until it suddenly clicks and then becomes ever so simple!
Broclo- I personally didn't find your post condescending or rude at all- just your usual very helpful self. I'm sorry if anyone else misinterpreted it

Broclo is an awesome asset to this thread- she spends so long doing all our shopping lists and working out the best combo's for separate transactions etc when I'm sure she has more interesting things to do. Though how she can add up all the glitches without a calculator I'll never know- she must be Carol Vorderman in disguise :rotfl:
I hope nobody is offended and we can all now go back to Bootsing
