Was on bogof in the store I visited today:confused:

it was a different Boots I went to and I just assumed the offer had ended. I should have asked as maybe they didn't have any signs up. I will just have to go back:rotfl:

I'd be intrigued to find out what would happen if you were seen doing this! It's like reverse shoplifting! I agree though, it's madness to be able to get something cheaper by buying something else that you don't actually want.

Would not reccomend it... anyone remember the toe seperators back in 2004/5?

If I remember quickly one guy went and 'bought' the toe seperators again after returning them to the shelves. They has problems as they could not really prossecute him as it was legally a bit 'thin line' and wanted to avoid adverse publicity as it it was right across the red top papers etc.

However...not sure he would have showed his face in boots again.

Thanks for the info about eldon square, was hoping there might still be mags - did you go to the other boots, the one that's near the Gate, opposite greggs? They usually have loads of mags, longer than the bigger stores. Also, who was the nice SA you found? I'm quite scared of the big ES store, some of the SAs look either clueless or scary! I thought I'd be ok with one of the younger ones one the tills by the meal deal section, but she was the worst! (this was when I was attempting the MM glitch, with the £2 off and ACM plus mag coupon, the supervisor was about to add the points on, when SA piped up 'oh, but should she be getting both offers though?' and guess what, the supervisor agreed!) I usually go to the man with glasses on the photo tills downstairs, as he scans most vouchers without a word, but I've done quite a lot of glitches with him, wouldn't like to call attention to myself!

Also, did you see if they had any JK files left? I have so many of which I've used one, but the way I see it, it's getting 20% off everything in boots, so if you use the points (which I intend to immediately on clinique for OH) on either things which aren't on offer, or even better, things which already have money off, it's better to buy than not buy even if I never use the files. Athough I wouldn't just buy them to increase my points if I didn't have anything in particular to spend them on.

The SA was early 20's & blonde, she was at the tills beside the skincare (I tend to use these ones just because I've usually checked out the clearance stand behind). I'm not in town that often so I just hope for the best with whichever SA I go to. She really was lovely though, so determined for people to get a bargain - she even left her till to go and get a woman a reduced eyeshadow pallette so she could have it for free with her No7 voucher. (These were in a blue box and there were 2 different multi-coloured ones reduced to 4.95 or 4.99). The blonde supervisor in this branch is also really helpful, as I recall with the old med soap glitch - happy days.
The SA's on the 'high end' beauty counters in here used to scare me but I now find that just by asking about new products/wanting to change my usual foundation etc that most have no problem with giving me free samples.
Sorry I've no idea about the nail files, I was so intent on getting what was on my mental list. I'll be trying some smaller local branches in the hope of getting some more mags before the new one comes out.

was there some points offer on at that time that meant he was getting more points than the price of item? didnt somepeople do that in the past with tan wipes as well?

Hi guys, need a bit of help.

    Today I bought

    TS serum shine - £6.99
TS long hair shampoo (Blue bottle) - £4.49 i think

Handed over the mag voucher but I still had to pay £2.51

I know I've gone wrong somewhere but where???

I also bought a R&M foundation brush for £6 using the £5 pink voucher and also managed to get the 17 bronzer for free without buying any 17 products!

Thats a great shop. How is the tevor sorbie working when you buy both of the long hair products. As today i bought the normal pink hair serum and the long hair shampoo, and it cost 2.51, i know that it goes to 7.00 then it takes off the cheapest item, but the if i buy two of the long hair products and it takes the cheapest off then how does it come to one pence. Any help with this would be great please.

  • I have been buying the JK nail files and have quite a few. Even giving my daughter a load I am still going to have quite a few left and as I have had the benifit of the points to buy what I like which is Chanel and Estee Lauder I am going to give them to a Womans Refuge Centre which is quite local to me.

I remember someone saying that was what they did with their "extras" and many years ago a friend of mine was very gratefull to be in one of those places. I know she went in there with only what she and the children had on so I thought a few treats would do the ladies a world of good.

With buying the files in different transactions I have loads of the No7 and the till spits which will be no good to me so I intend to try and get what I can with them and add them to the nail files.

I have been making notes as to what is available with them so if you see somebody at the tills doing loads of transactions with vouchers, please be patient, it might be me.
