I said to her that the hand cream was marked on the shelf as included in the offer, but she was adamant it just meant the Total Effects facial skincare range was included. She started to get really quite flustered and cross, so there was no point trying to stand my corner, as it wasn't worth making (even more of an) enemy of her!

To be honest I'm in two minds whether or not to complain. The SA in question has been there for a long time and I see her most days there. I suspect she would work out it was me who complained, and this may just make it worse if I have to be served by her/ any of her friends again

From now on I'm only going to pay upstairs in that store, as downstairs you don't know which SA you will get until you're at the front of the queue- even if I have to buy a mountain of paracetamol over the year to feel justified paying at the pharmacy counter!!!

Thanks for all the kind messages guys, made me feel much better. And as Mrs Bluebear says, for every rude SA there is a helpful one :D
    Oh you poor thing!

You should report her because that kind of rudeness is unforgiveable - the Total Effects Hand Cream is included in the offer, I've seen it marked up on the shelf as included in at least three different shops - and it scans perfectly well.

Please don't give up because of her!

There's one called Rock n Rose and one called Rock n Rose Couture, which is the nice one?

Also, you get free body lotion with this one. free body lotion and make up bag with Stella... and free nothing with marc jacobs, but it is cheap...£50 for 100ml

Not as I have a lot of perfumes or anything :o:p but I have the Rock n Rose Couture and after comparing them for ages I decided this one has the edge on the normal one.

Do you normally like floral scents? Because Stella is my all time fave! But I also lurrrrve Paul Smith Roses. I also am quite keen on Kate Moss perfume, which is surprising because I don't like her :rotfl: But when I'm in less of a really flowery mood (or for evenings) I totally love both Pure Poison and Midnight poison.

I have to say after hearing people raving about Marc Jacobs Daisy I wasn't really that impressed with it (well I didn't have to buy it that second like I normally would :rotfl: )

Does anyone else like the Gwen Steffani perfume? I never see anyone mention it but I really like for a change.

And I am still waiting for a good offer on the Chloe perfume, I neeeed it :D

To keep it on topic, I have bought virtually all my perfumes from Boots :T
3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time

    August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card
  • Ooooooooooooooooooh regarding the possible half price offer on electricals. I was thinking of getting the No.7 mirror with the lights at the side £39.99 with points. It would so make my weekend if that went down to half price!! Does anyone have it? Any good? Also asked about the heated No.7 eye lash curlers I bought today - wondered if anyone owned them and what they thought?

One more question. Im off to Suffolk this weekend and will be bootsing. Mum and Auntie will be there again too, lol. Apparently the nearest large towns are Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Any Bootsers from these locations who can give me the low down, lol.

    Ta very much.

I don't think that Boots would be able to do anything about the Mitchum vouchers (e.g. comeback for those that have used them).

The vouchers' terms and conditions should have been clearer if they don't want people to 'take advantage' for want of better words. IMO 'one per item' is opening the floodgates ! The company who issued the vouchers are the ones who will have to honour all the coupons that Boots send back for 'reimbursement'. There is nothing (that I can see) in law that Boots would be able to do to people who have already used the coupons as the 'transaction' has already been completed at the point of sale. I suppose they could withdraw advantage cards but that would be a bit harsh, considering that items have already been purchased and in the legal 'offer and acceptance' terms of a contract, the contract was made at the point of sale and there should be no comeback afterwards.

Only my opinion (did do a bit of legal a few years ago) but really can't see Boots penalising anyone for use of these vouchers. Plus they do get reimbursed for the full amount of the voucher (and sometimes, dependent on the companies involved, get a few extra pence on top too).

Have also checked on the Mitchum website and cannot see anywhere it says 'only print one' !! I might be missing something though so please feel free to tell me if i'm wrong !

Tiara sorry to hear of your experience, perhaps now you have got wheels you might be able to try in another store? I checked before and the store I went to had the little red tag on the handcream ~ it might be worthwhile contacting CS, I know you don't want to make an enemy of the SA but to put it in perspective you were right and she made you feel awful.
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

Wow, that's worrying! The thing is, the Mitchum coupons didn't say you could only print or use just one. Any idea what they are going to do regarding people who used several Mitchum vouchers?
    '

What is the worse they could do, only take away our points and as you say the mitchum voucher did not say one per customer. also they (mitchum) have got us using their products. I have used the same brand of deodorant for the last 7 years now I'm using mitchum.
