  • Not sure if I posted on here last week that I'd visited a store that wouldn't give me a pinky (think this was down to SA's ignorance rather than anything sinister - a subsequent SA said the store "hadn't been given any yet"). Anyway, as luck would have it I got a survey spit in the pinky-less transaction. Boy did I complain on my survey not only had I been deprived of a pinky, but I'd been overcharged by same store twice in space of a week and this was same store that had tills not issuing hair care vouchers a few months back.

CS rang me today and have issued 1000 points for the inconvenience. Spoke to a lovely lady who told me that Boots were issuing more surveys these days as they really want to hear what goes on in store.

Re the overcharging, the item in question above was No7 men's scrub listed as £6 on SEL but scanning at £6.50. The same has happened today with No7 men's shaving gel, also £6 on SEL but scanning at £6.50. I reckon the tills might be programmed to scan both these items at higher price but most SELs not changed yet. Could be useful to bear in mind for triggering new £5 spends for new vouchers?

But guess what!! When I went back this afternoon for the second time this had happened, I saw that the SA got a survey spit whilst doing my refund receipt. And, she thought I wouldn't notice but SHE QUICKLY SCREWED IT UP AND THREW IT AWAY! Should I complain?!

My last point of the day (for now!!) is that I used a PC coupon for 20% off baby table ware on two bowls reduced to £1. I expected to pay £1.60 for the pair but till only took 20p off for one of them.

And Tiara re Olay handcream, you weren't doing anything wrong so I'd complain to CS about how you were treated.

There's one called Rock n Rose and one called Rock n Rose Couture, which is the nice one?

Also, you get free body lotion with this one. free body lotion and make up bag with Stella... and free nothing with marc jacobs, but it is cheap...£50 for 100ml

    hey gthothec

nice to see another glasgow bootser :hello:

When you say it was the buchanan street store do you mean the buchanan galleries store? I was gonna go later this week and go to st enoch buchanan galleries and st enoch. Did you have trouble in all these stores with the mitchum

    tia

    Hey there,
Yes I meant Buchanan Galleries. They had loads of everything. It was so hard but I restrained myself, as the SA is so nice and I didn't want her to be annoyed with me. She told me to go back and try the TS glitch again, but I didnae want to take the p###! Good luck there. also noticed the OralB toothbrushes reduced to £6.50 or so.

St Enoch has Self Scan machines but little else in the way of bargains. I had a problem (i think) with the Mitchum there. Whatever happened to me at the self scan tills it frightened me enough to abort!. Probably best to go on a saturday as i am not exaggerating the Self Scan gate Keeper's nosiness!

Just wondered if any lovely Boots people could help me out with a question:
I bought some hair dye and hair spray in Boots today and got the two vouchers with them, I now want to change the colour of the hair dye, will they let me do this (I don't know if they change hair dye, or will let me do it because I received the vouchers)
    Thanks :)

Generally royal mail are cheaper unless you have over 2kg :)
