Have you done a soa for when you are on Maternity leave and only getting SMP. Have you looked at your grocery bill and factored in Nappies and milk. I think you need to rethink your £200 grocery bill for food and start looking at the baby costs. I spend between £150 - 200 and that is for 2 adults and a child still in nappies. I'm lucky I never needed formula milk.
I suggest for your own benefit that you sit down with your partner and do a joint soa. Showing everything that you both pay out and get in. Then do it for when you are on alimited income for comparison.
Good luck0 -
Totally I think that Jvic means on the contents insurance that she pays this not that sye pays 50% of it - same as my husband and I do - he pays mortgage and a few other bills, I pay all the rest of the bills. Not splitting each bill 50/50 if that makes sense

Jvic what is the medical costs for? You know that you get free dental and prescriptions for the next 2 years now whilst you're pregnant and until your baby is 1 I think? (well 1 year after your due date anywho...)DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Thanks for the notes. To be honest. We don't always use the entertainment budget and obviously when the baby comes we certainly won't be using it.
The contents insurance isn't half. It's the total cost which I pay myself.
And sorry, I have started contributing to the road tax as well as petrol. since my boyfriend bought the car totally out of his own pocket I thought it was only fair.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
