Me and OH don't pay equal shares either. I earn more than him and have more debt than him (most of it from before we got together) - plus he's got CSA payments and two kids to buy stuff for too so it probably works out even anyway.
The house stuff probably works out equal shares but although we share the car it is in my name and I pay all the car costs and repairs. The only bit I mind is that I do most of the driving too
I earn more than my OH too, and he has all the car expenses. Also, when we visit my mum I only have to go 30 miles but to see his we have to go 200 miles which also costs him a lot more.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
I am rubbish with SOA but I agree with including Orange in your DMP.
Well, I have just sent CCCS a message online, fingers crossed. They'll probably want me to call them though. I's rather not call as I feel cheeky for adding another debt to the DMP.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -

I don't know why you are complaining just go and demolish a couple of floors :rotfl:

Good luck with adding Orange to your payments!
For a moment, I thought you were being serious. It's a bit annoying because they wouldn't mortgage a preperty with over 5 floors. But my part of the building doesn't actually have any floors above it, I''m on the 5th, which is the top. Unfortuantely though there is a block which goes up 14 floors but it's not actually above me!! Grrr!!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
But it could fall on you :O
Seriously though it is annoying the criteria companies set down with property and construction types.
Still in a couple of years though you could try a mainstream lender and your DMP will keep you ticking along till then.0 -
Oh yeh, I didn't think about it falling on me. Unlikely I should imagine though but I guess that could be their argument.
To be honest I want to have moved by then anyway. I only have a one bedroom flat and at some point we would like to start a family and would also love a garden for the summers. The idea is to get a cheaper house that I've got and do it up.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
Good luck with adding Orange to your payments!
Well, as I said I sent CCCS a message online about adding the Orange payments to my DMP. They've replied asking me to call to do a review. I'm so nervous about this as I feel they think I just haven't stuck to my budget, which is right in a way. And on the weekend I received a letter from DLC as Orange have sold on my debt.
I hope CCCS will work Orange into my DMP but still allow me some money in my budget to put money on my PAYG sim.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
Most people are nervous with review calls, and most come back on say it was OK. Remember they are on your side!0

Thanks for your advice Rayday (and everyone else) I had my 1st review with CCCS last night. I added the Orange contract to my DMP as suggested and still allowed myself £20 a month to spend on my PAYG. The review was much easier than expected. My DMP has risen from £103 - £120 a month but at least I've added the £282 debt from Orange to it.
I'm also having quite a successful month with regards to ebay (as suggested by ~Beanie~), even though I found it difficult to find things to sell as I'd already sold pretty much anything of any value. What I have found is going to ern me about £70 this month so far, and that's if nobody else bids.
I'm going to post another SOA soon to see if any further tweaking can be made as you were all so helpful last time.

You mentioned going to the cinema in one of your posts. Have you looked at the cinema codes thread on the freebies section? I got tickets to see Pineapple Express for free last Monday and am going to see Tropic Thunder on Tuesday both for free. Saves some cash given how expensive cinemas are!0
