Now, I know it's looking a lot better and any surplus is going to be ploughed into paying off that credit card with massive interest. Any help much appreciated.
Thanks

You mentioned going to the cinema in one of your posts. Have you looked at the cinema codes thread on the freebies section? I got tickets to see Pineapple Express for free last Monday and am going to see Tropic Thunder on Tuesday both for free. Saves some cash given how expensive cinemas are!
Yeh, we're really good like that. I went to see pinapple express. To make it even cheaper, we bought corn and popped it ourselves and I got paper bags from tesco's (the free ones to put mushrooms in) to put the popcorn in. In the dark, no one can see.

Hi Jvic28
You seem to be doing well, just a couple of things...
Do you get any rewards for topping up your mobile? If I top up with £10 on Orange, I get free calls after 7pm to other Orange mobiles which is good because my daughters, best friend, mum, sister and the kids dad are on Orange too. My daughter texts more than calls so if she tops up with £10 she gets 300 free texts messages to any network.
Also, if you are with BT (landline) you can get free eveing and weekend calls plus 100 free text mesaages (as long as you have a sms enabled home phone) for free, just by going onto a 12 month rolling contract with them (£10.50 per month) http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=23734&s_intcid=con_intban_ps2_phones_evewkndcalls_phone
I would also join Quidco, you could each sign up and do daily clicks and get caskback on lots of online shopping. I have earnt £436 in about 18 months doing this.

Hi, I'm with Orange PAYG already. I've budgeted to top up £5 per week. Do you only get the reward by topping up £10 at a time as I've been topping up £5 at a time for a few months now. Gutting!choccyface2006 wrote: »
I have joined quidco. I joined the end of July and have £14.53 but haven't received any payments yet. Do they take ages to pay usually?
Thanks for the advice.

No, I topped by 2 x £5 this month and still got the reward. You will have to join a plan though I think, you can do that here.... http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/payasyougo

Quidco payments first become tracked, then validated, then recieved from the merchant (by Quidco) then paid into your bank at the begining of the month.
The process can take months depending on where the caskback was from and it will only go into your bank if you have set that up, so check your Quidco settings (bacs is the preffered methood)
The best thing to do is to do all the daily clicks EVERY month, then after a few months you will start getting small amounts of cashback EVERY month as it is processed. Go through Quidco for everything you can for plenty of extra cashback

Thanks a million Sarah. I just registered online with Orange and changed my plan to the dolphin plan. I should now get at least 300 free texts a month and looking at my usage history online most of my credit was going on texts. I wish I'd realised sooner.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

Good luck with adding Orange to your payments!
Hi Rayday,
Thanks for your help. My Orange contract has been added to my DMP. I have still allowed myself £20 a month for PAYG and have increased my DMP from £103 - £120 after the review so although I've increased the debt on the DMP I've also increased the payments so it should keep everyone happy.
Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. It's really making a dent in my debt.

This is finally looking much better. I should now be able to plough lots more money into getting rid of the debt I accrued on my Dads Extortionate credit card.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
