Well the Big Grocery Shop came with nothing amiss other than the delivery driver being a bit of an ijit and parking at the end of the road so he had to carry everything all the way from there, but hey they're his arms. Including the cat food we bought yesterday that's just under £180 of our £330 budget gone.

Problem with buying a months' worth of nappies in one go for two babies is...getting them in the cupboard!

Husband has just emailed to say his boss asked him why he's leaving and if they could offer him more money to stay. Didn't say how much, don't know if he knows or if his manager will have to speak to the directors, but he's not happy there really. Have told him it's entirelu up to him.

Oof, Kym, a lot going on for you, between the shop, your OH's job and a regular turning into a troll. Don't worry too much about misunderstandings like that, people get funny ideas sometimes - the tone and texture of the spoken word can't be got over on the internet, I *hope* thats what was wrong.

    Hi Amy

He's still leaving, the person he had a meeting with said they 'might' be able to offer him more money but the directors there are pretty tight-fisted. He's already doing way more than he was to begin with, for the same money. Also business has been so quiet lately I was starting to worry for his job anyway!

He does administration work, basically. He's not qualified to do anything and the only thing he has experience in is office work, really. The company he worked for for 7 years previous to being made redundant (and the company he's going back to) is a huge network of independent financial advisors, and he was doing something to do with their commission, but the department was moved to Salford. He's doing something called 'desk-based monitoring' when he goes back there which is to do with auditing the financial advisors and making sure they're doing their jobs right. After he was made redundant from there he got a job working for a smaller company of financial advisors and it was great cos he could walk to and from work and was home in time for us to have a family tea together. But it was a new company and things started to go wrong after a year or so and after 18 months his services were no longer required - just in time for Megan to be born.

He spent a month out of work (even the temp agencies couldn't seem to find him anything) before starting at the place he works at now which is a company that makes aluminium frames for things...working in the office again.

Hiya KC how the devil are you?

Husband is still going to be moving. Apparently the director was a proper !!!!! when he told him he was leaving, not that he ever sounded like a ray of sunshine in the first place!

I'm fairly certain I didn't misunderstand the way in which the 'troll's post was intended - something to do with 'people like you buying all the bargains so no-one else can have any' really got to me, and she went on in further posts to be quite personal, but that was yesterday and today is a new (and gorgeously sunny!) day!
