    MonkeyBoots,

Welcome to my thread. Firstly, thanks for your kind words. I know that I should just forget about my ex, but ulimately I still love him! I wish that feeling would go away.

Secondly, you seem to be so strong yourself. It is difficult going from a 2 parent family to a 1 parent family. I'm happy for you that you have moved on.....hopefully I can follow suit.

Believe me I'm not strong I'm just good at pretending most of the time lol there are days where I forget all the problems but then again there are the bad days too, think the only way I am coping at the minute is that any time I start missisng him list all the reasons I am better off with out him.:o

Well the 'new' furniture was delivered today by my Godfather (possibly the nicest man on the planet! I absolutely adore him) and brothers.

It is all lovely, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed frame and 2 bedside cabinets. All pine.

The cousin who was donating the table & chairs has just found out she is pregnant and her bf has run for the hills!!! They had been together about 5yrs!!!

Also, NSD today and yesterday, so that is 7 so far this month.

The more I think about it, I am totally baffled about HB not being in my account.....starting to worry....

Didn't get round to phoning HB people today.....must do tomorrow.

Work was really really busy, my wee team leader is getting awfully stressed....wish I could do more to help her.

Our share price plumetted today......lowest at 59cent......very worried about job, although nothing much I can really do about it. I suppose that would be the deciding factor to go bankrupt....

Spends today £2.60 travel to and from work.....can't wait until the weather breaks into spring or at lease less cold and wet, then I'll be able to walk home, only takes 1hr20mins and very good exercise.

HB was in account on Wed andfor slightly more than I expected.....they are getting weirder and weirder!

Wed was an eventful day.....I very naughty-ly bought a bucket of starbucks coffee(filter, not latte - cheaper), but managed to throw most of it around me! (serves me right for cheating) Had to buy new top for work! £7! Turned out to be a bloody expensive coffee.

    Busy busy in work....as usual....

Off tomorrow....still using up holidays from last year....4 down, 6 to go.

Payday tomorrow, so £600 going straight to dad account. And Mum birthday, she wants money for the garden centre (that is so dull). Then my precious Godfather birtday on monday. And friend b'day just before valentines day. Going to be a very expensive month.

Friends really treated me last birthday, it was lovey and just what I needed at the time, dinner, drinks and lot and lots of laughs. Must do something nice for her. I really appreciate my friends although I don;t always show it.

For so long I was the strong one, the one they came to with problems, the one who was able to see all sides of the story/arguement. And then d*ckhead left me......and my whole world collapsed.

I have been trying to put on a front for them and my family. Bless them, to spare me the trouble, they have stopped pushing me to move on, get out 'there', meet someone else. They check in every few days to sense my mood and react accordingly. I adore them! The most fantastic 4 women ever to walk the world and I am able to call them my friends.

  • You are sounding very positive today! It's good that you have that support from your friends and family, if its any good to you what I did for my friends birthday last year (the one that sat and listend to my tears and tantrums lol ) was buy a small gift and then give them a book of IOUs for things like I owe them a night where I will listen to whatever he has to moan about, I owe him a night of baby sitting etc, hopefully they are nearly all used up now cos bless him he chooses awkward times to use them lol but it shows that you appreciate what they have done for you and costs next to nothing lol

Well very uneventful few days. I had to go into town to get replacement brithday card for my mum (I swear I bought them already.....lost somewhere in this tip of a house) and a gift for my Godfather.

Slowly over the weekend, a sore throat has turned into a bad cough, achy bones......all in all feel like carp!

My mum, the star that she is, took my lo so that I could sleep today.....I think she'll be doing that tomorrow too.

I have myself dosed up lemsips, stresil, cough bottle......everything and anything that I can find in the medicine cupboard.

Still dying!..... I really wish someone would take me outside to put me out of my misery.

My brother and gf has it too. Very odd hearing my big brother all 6ft4in of him sounding like a lil girl with his voice gone! very funny.....although probably shouldn't laugh.

On Monday, I couldn;t be bothered cooking, so got a takeaway. Gorgeous roast duck and fried rice! yummmy yummmy. but cost £6!

Then yesterday, I run out of lemsips, milk, bread and egg so had to go to local shop and cost £7.86......the charge a fortune in there.

NPS today! Thank goodness lo hasn't got it.

Very bizaarly my ex decided to email today to ask how lo & I are keeping....oh and to say sorry 'for acting like a jack a$$'. He must have grown a conscience.
