    Hello

I do not post very often but this is one time that I will.

    I loathe London.

I think it is dirty and the most of the people are rude and have no time for anyone but themselves.

The only time I venture to the city is when I am going to a TV recording,a show in the West End or concert at Wembley and spend my time in the vicinity of where I have to be.

It is always a relief when I am on the train as it pulls out of Waterloo or in my car heading out of town.

i agree.. i've a feeling the OP and ended up in Manchester and not London

Been to quite a few capital cities and I definately rate London as one of the best !, apart from mayor Ken.......great place and is the only city in the UK worth visiting (apart from Edinburgh), loads of fantastic places to visit (lots free) Paris or Berlin just can't compete in my opinion.

I personally prefer Harrods to Hamleys - the toy department there is fantastic - and the whole store is like one giant Aladdins Cave. Took my two (8 and 5) there in the summer and we spent hours there - they really enjoyed it. Am hoping to go back at Christmas time and see the lights and the Harrods windows.

with all due respect... do you live in a cave?
London is terrible, it's full of people who don't speak English and the ones who do are arrogant. Then you mentioned fantasic places and Berlin in the same sentance.
I went to Berlin beginning of October on a stag do and it's the grimmest, grimiest, graffitied holes i've ever been to and i've been to London on more than one occasion. Saying London is one of the best cities you've been to could be acceptable as personal preference but Berlin??? fantastic ??

I fully agree with this. London for a day or weekend is great if your just seeing the sights. Try living there. The classrooms are 70% non English speaking children. The crime level there is so bad that no one even bats an eyelid when they witness one. The cost of day to day living is 30% more than anywhere else. People have no matters, never say 'excuse me' and push you out of the way instead.

Frizz.. i'm from Manchester, God's backyard.

You might think i'm being negative about places but somebody agreed with me on London and Berlin is just horrible and dirty. Every wall has graffiti on it, even escalator steps didn't manage to escape. It's like being back in England in the 80's
