Hardly. Type in teletext in MSE forum search and find a positive remark.
Never booked with them myself, though if it wasnt for people like the ones in this thread and many others i may have been conned too. Not only do these companies advertise false prices, if you do go ahead and book with them, they're likely to call you a week before your holiday and advise that your flights are unavailable but there are others at a higher price. As for the newbie reference, everyone has to make their first post! And probably because theyve almost been ripped off and turn to mse for advice.Nice to see all new posters ripping the stuffing out of this company.
What a load of twaddle.Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p0 -

Does anyone know of any decent holiday sites?
Ryanair are a decent flight site (as long as you follow all the rules to get cheapest price ie hand luggage only, pay with pp mastercard, dont go for the extras etc.
ie London Stansted to Palma Mallorca 30/6 to 7/7 £79.98 rtn each
Then try https://www.roomratecompare.com search Mallorca choose from 511 hotels , the cheapest, those dates being Pinomar Hotel in S'Illot at £84 pp based on 2 sharing room only.
Or London Stansted to Rimini 19/6 to 26/6 for £47 each Rtn . Search https://www.roomratecompare.com for Rimini. choose from 303 hotels in Rimini , the cheapest being Hotel Villa Nannia at £122 pp and another 56 hotels in Cattolica , the cheapest being Hotel Ninfea at £102 pp (all based on only 2 sharing)
These deals and others just like them at around £165pp are available if you self package + do your own research0 -

As a 20 year old I have never booked a holiday before. I used lastminute.com to purchase a holiday which after I had paid for realised it was with the third party sun4u.
I had never heard of this company before and thought it would be a straight forward easy deal. It wasn't.
They called me on the phone to confirm the booking and asked me for my email address (which they already had) to send me the invoice online. This invoice included all the flight times, my address, accomodation vouchers, transfer vouchers, everything. This girl had the same name as me although my email address was .co.uk not .COM so imagine how angry I was to discover this stranger knew when my house would be empty, could book her own flights and use the accomodation? anything (long shot I know as it is fraud). As the flights were also booked using this email I could then not log on to the flight check in service, or fill in advanced passenger info (API).
I called sun4u and was passed through many departments, nobody seemed to care or help me. As a last attempt I sent an email using the query form on the sun4u website and received a reply the next day which said I was to send all the API info to them. It also had information attached underneath which included their systems details so I used this to do the API myself.
Now I am having trouble checking in so will have to call them to sort this mess out.
This has been very stressful, I now wish I had not used lastminute in the first place either. I will be checking which third party (if any) in future before making any bookings.
Now I am worried I will get to the hotel and my booking will not even be processed. Who knows.

Ihave booked with this company twice every when i look it up on websit for my daughter an myself i put 1 adult an a child age 12 go to book they ask for daughters d/o/b she was born in 1996 there is no 1996 just 1997 , then i phone them an book it over the phone an it always costs me more, they need to revise there websit they offer me transfers a lot more expensive hen i tell them i can get it cheaper on travel repiblic they almost call me a liar!, i say have a look ur selves.:tThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

We booked with sun4u and have just got back from 12 days in Spain. Sun 4u do some things very well, i know you will find this hard to believe after reading this forum ,but it is true. They are very efficient in taking and banking your money months before your holiday starts, this is where the efficiency ends because they now start to treat you disgracefully. Six of us booked accomodation with them and one week before departure i checked with the company that our hotel reservations had been made and they confirmed they had. When we arrived at the hotel at 11.30 at night with two children aged 5 and 7 we were faced with the hotel saying you are not staying here. They said our accomodation had been changed to a different hotel. When i asked how we were supposed to get there we were told it was down to us to sort out. We paid for a taxi and on arriving at the second hotel we were again told they knew nothing about us. With difficulty i managed to contact Sun4u who were less than helpful. The second hotel made some phone calls and after about 30 minutes we were redirected to a hotel in a resort two towns farther down the coast. After arriving at this third hotel i rung sun4u again and confirmed this was the hotel we were to stay at, they also promised to ring me the following day to arrange my transfer back to the airport.Needless to say they never rung back. Two days before we were due to leave i rung Sun4u again about my transfer and was told they have no responsibility to arrange my transfer despite them moving me two resorts away from my booking. It has cost me 30 euros in taxis,15 pounds in phone calls and 80 pounds for the transfer and six very unhappy holidaymakers. They could not care less. As i only got home this morning i have yet to put my complaint in writing but i will be doing and putting a complaint into ABTA.0

I did find the teletext holidays they offer seem to be made up, last year i phoned them after seeing some cheap deals but was immediately quoted holidays about 3 times the cost, when i asked to be told about the specific deals on offer that i had seen the girl was very vague and said the offers change quickly so they always have new ones coming in.
in the end i just booked myself using thomson late deal flights, hotels and tranfers seperate etc.
a lot less frustrating !!!***MSE...My.Special.Escape***0 -
Hi All - I have followed in your footsteps -today I booked a 3* All Inclusive, 7 night holiday with lastminute.com and they emailed to confirm Sun 4 U was the provider. I did a copy and paste of their name into a search engine and arrived here. Luckily, I read all the posts in this thread before they phoned and I could have 'bailed- out'. However the Sun 4 U representative has been very helpful - I have decided to take a chance and will let you know how it goes. I have posted a hotel review in the past but this is my first time in a forum. Wish me luck and if you want to read my previous review visit tripadvisor.co.uk/members-reviews/NoniBob0
