sun4u direct rip off!!!

Used this company for firt time to book accommodation, on arrival 3wks ago in Majorca, hotel had no record of us arriving so paid 110euros for a room at same hotel for the night (refunded later) turns out SUN4UDIRECT hadnt paid hotel for our stay which was booked in Nov 2009, we stayed Juy 2010 and they didnt pay up till the day before we were due to leave, fortunately we have stayed at this place before and the staff are excellent so after a phonecall from myself and the hotel manageress they finally paid. I will def not use SUN4UDIRECT ever again. People who have used them have been VERY lucky.:hello:

We've just returned from Majorca having booked with the above company. I was nervous because I had read the reviews. However, we paid £2000 for a week for 5 of us, all inclusive for the first week of the school hols. We'd been to the club mac jupiter, saturno, marte last year in the school hols and paid over £600 more and had to be split up in two separate rooms.
The flight was on time, quick check in and the resort hopper dropped us off first which took an hour less than last year! We were the only ones checking into the hotel therefore there was no queue. The family room was great, it looked recently refurbished and the resort hopper picked us up on time for the return journey home which left more or less on time.
You must check your invoices, follow instructions to the letter and raise any queries via email rather than telephone. Any queries via email are answered quickly.
I could not fault them. Judge them by your own experience and bear in mind that thousands book with them every year.
I am a very happy customer and would have no doubt in using them again.

They sound very hit and miss and especially if you have got young children you need a reliable firm and to know youre hotel is booked upon arrival. You get what you pay for.

I booked three weeks ago with Sun4u, last minute holiday through teletext. Paid £500 for 2 people all inclusive Lanzarote. All was great, had no problems at all. Yesterday i booked with them again, 19th Aug for one week, 4 people all inclusive to Calella, Spain in named Hotel for £1248 inluding flights with Ryan Air. Ill let you all know how it goes xxx

I agree with last post.Its fishy. why would they know to come here and post when they obviously dont use the site. Unless they are affiliated with the company and have been directed here.

Received email this evening to say regarding he holiday booked on the 19th, The named Hotel no longer does all inclusive only full board. Have offered me £160 refund if i choose to go fullboard with that hotel or given 2 other hotels to choose from. Going to have to think about this now. Ill let you know how it works out xxx

Update. I wasnt happy with the two Hotels offered so they finally offered me Calella Palace which was an extra £400 but they will not charge me any extra. I also complained that as I had booked transfrs privately I will now have cancel that booking which will have to take £15 for cancelling . So I asked if Sun4u would provide free transfers due to the stress and headache they have given me. HEY PRESTO, they agreed. Just hope we will be able to fly out now on the 19th as the Air Controll in Spain are considering a strike!!! Ill let you all know how it goes xxx

Judging by other posts on here you may find that there is no booking when you arrive or similar.

hi could you please tell me which hotel you booked and they stated all inclusive and then said it was only full board
