How many seconds delay are you using ? I picked 3 secs but Im not sure it's using this service. My online a/c is not showing any calls and I can't see any calls routed since I signed up on Orchid's report"There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

MiserlyMartin wrote:Update: I received an email saying I my email has been passed onto another dept and I would recieve a reply within 48 hours. No email to date. Well that deadline has long gone. So I phoned them up, got through to an indian call centre. Spoke to a woman gave detiails, had winge, she passed me through to somebody else. They said that the only way to get the rate would be to cancel and come back as a new customer. I said, "You do realise that I may not come back and during the time I am away you will lose revenue, so surely the best thing for both of us is to move me to the new rate without any more hassle"
I am now awaiting a call from a manager after further moaning.
Will keep you updated
So I didn't recieve a call from a manager. So I just phoned them again. I again got through to an indian call centre, who seem unable to communicate wihout reading off a list of things to say, even if I complain about not having a call returned. Onetels customer 'service' has obviously been completely outsourced to India. So this is why customer service levels have suffered - No returned calls or emails. I asked politely (all the time BTW) if I could have a manager call me back and threatened that if this time I do not get a call back tonight, the next time I will be calling I really will cancel all my Onetel services. They promised a call back but its getting late, they shut at 8pm and still no call so I don't hold much hope. I amazed that a previous poster has managed to change to the 99p tariff for being a loyal customer (over 6 years). These guys I speak to have no clue and can only repeat that its available to new customers only, like parrots.
Bunch of incompetants in my experience. Shame because they used to be a good company to deal with. No wonder Centrica have put them up for sale.0 -
I have gone one step further MiserlyMartin and told them (Onetel) to stuff their service. Tried the same as you, reduction to 0.99p, without success, customer for about 5 years - so what price loyalty?
So free evenings & weekend landline calls start soon with Primus.

Well I just spent a good hour again on the phone, was sooo close to telling them to stuff it. But they offered me 3 months free. So I've stayed. Makes me wonder if this 99p deal is only going to last another 3 months, anybody have inside knowledge?0
