  • If you understood the basics of Negative Equity, you would appreciate my point. The fact that you haven't grasped the fact that unless you try to sell during falling property prices you won't lose out says it all.

But what's important is the price you buy in at.

If you buy a house now for £100k, and it's worth £85k in 2 years' time, £90k in 3 years' time, £100k in 5 years' time, and £120k in 12 years' time, you have lost out. Becuase you bought at a high price. You could have been paying back a lot less over the years.

There there, don't feel guilty. But as I said, I felt your initial assessment was a little rosy-tinted. A certain poster likes to pick as many fights as possible, (3 so far in this thread, and counting), and house prices don't really come into it.

But who cares, when house prices are falling? That's why we're here, of course.

Carolt when will you learn... I have Just read 5 posts after this and you are picking fights as we speak? kettle ...black...

What a great guy. He'll be much missed, I'm sure. No idea how we'll make up our own minds without his polite and constructive feedback.

It is time you were gone from this forum.

Well actually, yes it does affect my income, although not directly as I not paid solely on commission.

However, I only post on here because I would like to help people, however I am a nice person who wants to help people and offer opinions.

However, as recently all I have experienced is certain individuals with NO experience of buying or selling, who plainly talk out of their rear ends and abuse others because they disagree with people, I am not going to post anymore on this forum.

So you can all talk yourselves into suicide over life and wallow in self pity - which on the whole is all you deserve.

    Adieu

Another poster bullied off the forum by the biggest bully on here and the irony is she's a teacher....Big Bully and she is the one who believes she is victimised on here....Wake up...

It shows that the house forum is not moderated, otherwise Carolt would have been banned months ago.

I must admit Brodders (alias Dan?) has a point. When I first came here, must be a few weeks ago now, I was convinced that building a BTL empire was the way forward. I had mortgages arranged, properties chosen, and all was set. I think I made a first tentative post to find out if anyone could advise me further. Well, I was a bit surprised by the reaction I must say. Post after post came at me, with facts and figures, threats and insults until I could hardly type for shaking. My health suffered, couldn't concentrate at work, even took to self abuse again.

Suffice it to say that after this level of attack by the killer bears I decided to shelve my plans for the future, sell my house, get divorced, take up smoking and reinvent myself as a bear.

And now life is good once more...

    Tosh Broders.

Simple question to Truly, as he states he likes to help people.
Would you advice a customer to buy now or wait until the market settles ?

The main purpose of this SUB-FORUM is to educate. Anyone interested in buying a house and have financial considerations should carefully consider their options at the moment.

House prices WILL BECOME EVEN CHEAPER, not a crystal ball prophecy, a cast iron guarantee. I'll back that up with a wager if you like Truly/Broders.
