    Have fun Josie

Yes VickyHurn you've done SO well and I pmed you a few weeks back (thanks for your reply!) about your Tesco points cos I couldn't believe them. I would love to do what you've done with Tesco points - is there a first place to start with this, that will be a step in the right direction and get me on track? Just one thing I should do differently?

ps got my amazon voucher today - well chuffed!

First thing is to try and reduce spend and increase points, I get almost all mine when they do the extra points on Heath and Beauty products using extra points vouchers and money offf coupons.

For example. the last £3000 came from the deals last month when you got an extra 250 points (Worth £10 in Deals) when you spent £10 on H&B

Radox was BOGOF and the points work on the Pre BOGOF Free Price. So by buying 6 Radox Shower gel for £10.80 after BOGOF = £5.40 gives £10 in deals. By using Money Off Coupons (Tesco allows you to use them on items you have not purchased), I then got that down to about 14p each time

So for 14p you get 6 Bottles of Radox and £10 worth of points (The radox sells easily for 2 for a £1 at Boot sales)

So in the end each lot of 6 you buy gives you £10 towards a car/holiday and a cash profit of about £2.70 once you sell it. Repeat 300 times you then have £3000 in deals, and £810 cash profit, for a ZERO Spend, just time and effort. I am not saying it is easy, its time consuming and boring running round getting it all, but at the end of it, you make a nice profit and have a LOT of deals points.

Sorry Vicky to be asking you more questions, but I find this amazing as like Princess I make about £20 a month in vouchers (and less in fact since I joind the GC on MSE).

Where do you get the extra points vouchers from? Are they from your quarterly cc statement? The most extra points voucher I get in mine is for like 100 points and you use it once and thats it to the next quarter. Am I missing something?

And, where do you get the money off coupons? Its not so bad forking out for the offer if it does not actually cost you much.

It is an amzing total Vicky - and well done to you - but I still don't see how you get all the vouchers from?

They come from a leaflet in store, there is not one out at the moment, (Only one with a £2 off when you spend £10 on H&B). They can be hard to find, some stores hand them out 1 per person others leave big piles of them on the checkouts, its just a case of grabbing as many as possible as there is normally 1 Extra points voucher in each leaflet. The last one ended at the end of last quater, so there shoud be another one soon.

Best place to find out about them by monitoring the Tesco thread on this site or monitor ebay. (Some Tesco staff are well known for taking the store stock home and ebaying them!). So when they appear on Ebay thats time to start hunting. (The other thing is make sure everyone in the house has a clubcard account), the more accounts you put points on the more mailings you get with extra points coupons in them as well. There's 5 of us in the house (Including the dog), and all have a card.

You can print out vouchers from the coupon thread on here, most Tesco will take the print outs as long as they are colour,

the other way is just hunt everywhere. my last big haul was at the Food show at the NEC (Over 3000 coupons!)

    OMG VICKY!

That is some collection! Was that all at the food show?

So do you collect the coupons and then use them when you see a points offer at Tesco? Do you have stock piles of goods at home?

You are inspiration to cc users everywhere!:D

Yes they were all from the Food show, (They were giving away a booket with vouchers in it, and I managed to liberate a full box of them!) Plus a lot of the demo stands in there had vouchers.

As for Stock Piles, its not too bad at the moment, but about 6 months ago it was getting crazy, and we have 2 large cellars both full of shelves fo Tesco goodies. And the local kids were coming round to ask if they could play shop in my Tesco!!!!!

The main problem with vouchers they tend to have a fairly short expiry date. so you have to blow through them quickly,

The exception to this is the Mitchum ones on the printables thread, there is a £1 and £1.50 one both of which last into 2009. so if you print loads of those and were to just use one of each every time you went into Tesco that would be a £2.50 saving for nothing.

There are some great Tesco Discussions on this forum

Is well worth a dig through.

  • Thank you Vicky Hurn, think I'm getting the idea now - That is serious savings and you have really made an impact to your family budget with this, in a way which is much more significant than lots of other little money tricks that I get up to. Are you up for it cookinmummy?
