Damn, I really wanted one of those gondola-end assignments with ??????? but was too late. Replied to email in under 8 minutes but someone still beat me to it!

Oh well, have just got an RE one for a sports related retailer at least, which is decent money and very close to where I live :D

PS - thanks to all for those 'bad day for MS'ers' comments! Happy to report the bad day ended with a bad nights sleep, but all has been well ever since... :o

Steelercaz you will have to take out the name of that particular ms comp - as they are very protective of their name and its a no-no to post it. We have all made a similar mistake in the past, so this is a friendly nudge to remove it:D
  • Thanks Cookinmummy, thought I was ok as I didn't mention the retailer or client name, only that it referred to gondola ends. (Seems a lot less information than many are talking about, e.g. Gap doing the 'burger joints', etc?)

    Changed it! :o
Debt at 'ephiphany': £13,500 (March 1st)
    Money made from ebay 2009: £130 (£600 2008)
Money made so far in 2009 from Mystery Shopping: £0 (£200 2008)
***1st March 2009 - begun claims from Halifax, Capital One and Arcadia RE unfair charges and missold PPI... Fingers crossed!!

Yes - normally of course you can say the comp name (its normally just client names and fee's that are a no-no). But, that particular comp really don't like to be mentioned - easily done;):D

I signed up to RE and GR but nothing interesting as yet, the Lloyds Pharmacy tasks are only for hayfever medicine which I don't really need. Does the probationary status mean I will be denied more attractive tasks till I complete a mundane one?
    Buy for value not cost.
    Feb Grocery = £55.87 / 80

    Ahhh I see. Thankyou! :D

Please can I ask some questions about a supermarket audit? I've never done one and don't want to appear a complete idiot!

I don't understand the questions regarding the shelf edge label - the questionnaire asks if they are present on entry, and on exit. Does this mean at the time I entered the store and the time I left the store - or does it mean are they visible as a promotion at the entrance of the store?

What does 'ranged to be stocked by the store (check stock system)' mean? And how do I check stock system?

    Thanks

In response to these 2 other bits (I've just signed up to do a couple of these today, so know what you're referring to)

The entry and exit, refers to, did they have it already set up when you went in, or did you have to get them to do it, so it was set up by the time you left. These visits have already been done by someone to make sure they're set up, so it should be fairly easy and already in place (but we'll see!) and we're just meant to be double checking.

The manager or whoever is helping you will check their computer system for you. When they say is it "ranged" they mean is it one of the ranges that this store should stock - so if they've got it and it's on their computer system, then yes it's "ranged".
  • Guys - check out Becles fab list of ms comps here

I have slowly added one of these at a time and now am with over 20+. A lot are not as prolific as Gyp or RE, but can offer a fairer fee and a more interesting range of jobs. You have to find what works for you.

I ms for pocket money for me, and it is not a full-time occupation, so I only accept jobs that either pay well or are doing something that suits my lifestyle - that is why it suits me to be with as many comps as possible. For example at the start of this month I did a mystery massage and I will end the month with a mystery leg wax, and between then I have 3 mystery family days out booked in and a few shops. Fiddling with prescriptions for a pittance and a cabinet full of hayfever remedies do not appeal to me. But - for a free latte I am anyones!:rotfl:

    HTH :D

If you could let me know who you did the massage and leg wax for I would forever be in your debt. Something like that I wouldn't mind filling in a questionnaire for xx

    Regarding the Supermarket audits...

I know you have to check on entrance and exit...so does that mean that you can do a bit of shopping or something before you check for the last time? Or do you have to do it all together and find somewhere else to go shopping?

I've never done an audit before so just want to clarify a few finer details before I go!

Also...do we have to dress for the occassion or will jeans and trainers do??

Personally - I would not shop while carrying out an audit as it is a more business type arrangement (smart clothes required etc) - I go in meet the manager do the audit and then leave and try and keep it business like. HTH:D
