Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I've not been well again for a while now and have reduced my jobs, had a good time last week in St Ives though but its knacked me out and I'm now having a PVS/CFS relapse so no jobs for me unless they're telephone ones :(

Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back again. I knew I'd overdone it with taking on too many jobs when I first started. Oh well......

I still read the forum though and wanted to congratulate LTD on his newest arrival :)

And a quick mention of claiming for calls. I'd be a little wary of claiming a 'nominal' amount rather than actual costs as it is actual expenses that would need to be proved just in case there was ever an investigation. What I do is charge 20p per minute as thats what it would cost me when using my mobile if I use up my inclusive minutes. Which I never do, but its a fair system. And its not my idea, got that here :D Kinda like how you charge 40p a mile for petrol and 6p per printed page etc.

Thank you very much for posting Roxy, I appreciate that, we are two weeks in nearly and haven't had a great deal of sleep but we have adapted pretty well, I think DD1 is loving having a baby sister too, putting her dummy in and helping etc (only 20 months herself!)

I hope you get better soon as well, just keep battling away, there is always a long list of jobs for when you return. :D

Is anyone else doing phone shop jobs for Bare this weekend? I have just been reading the instructions and there is so much to remember:eek: I'm really not sure whether it's worth it now. It makes Gap look good with their 'make an enquiry of your choice.....'

For a car maker? I did that yesterday and it seemed ok- but this sounds different.

These jobs aren't as bad as they seem at first, you can whip through the q'airre quite quickly. If you're counting then a best estimate is usually the only option.

On their homepage it says payment for jobs completed during Aug will be paid circa 1st October - I'm still waiting...

On the subject of no receipt jobs for drinks: If I do a drinks only job I usually take someone with me, you look way less suss that way, if I have to spend 40 mins in the location and buy two drinks, one from each list, I,m going to look a bit dodgy and they will know what I,m all about. So yes I will claim as near to the limit as I can, £5 for two people for 40 minutes isnt a great amount, I,m sure you,ll all agree.

and this is why a lot of clients have started wanting receipts, because of people abusing the system. Remember the client may have CCTV, check back on the details and see what you actually ordered and report back to the Company!

Please can all the posts that mention fees and expenses be edited, as this is breaking the terms and conditions of your contract and ruins it for the rest of us more serious shoppers!
    Thanks

I agree. RE now put a query on your account if you do a pub job and then tell them you're mailing the receipt in, and they remove it when they receive the receipt; they told me it's because so many people have lied before.
  • Also, the new lady who deals with pub jobs on RE is starting to annoy me. She sends mulitple emails in a row (4 in 7 minutes) bugging me for clarification, when I now give up and say, please refer to the report and phone me if there are any queries. Especially when I make it really clear by writing loads. What more do they need? She never does phone then and I do get the money.
