  • I completed my first MS for RE last night, a drinks job. i am now completing the notes on line but i have a section where they are asking for
    Amount Spent
    Receipt No.

Now i know to put no receipt as the assignment dictated 'No Receipt' But what do i put for amount spent.

I actually spent £2.04 . The mileage was about 5 miles round trip. The assignment mentions 2 lots of £5. I believe this to be £5 for the job & £5 to cover the expenses. Is this correct & if so will i miss out on some of the expenses.

    Help very much appreciated.

Not sure, as I have never done an RE job without a receipt.
The Fee is what you are being paid to do the job, this includes everything you need to outlay - eg travel, printing.
The Spending limit is what you have to spend - and RE will reimburse you up to that amount, but will reimburse you less if thats what you spent, for eg, spend limit of £X and you spend £Y, you will get £Y (even if Y is less, so always best to try and spend the max amount)

Wow you have to be careful then. So the fee of £5 i get needs to cover my travelling expenses. Good job it was only 5 mile round trip !

And the spend limit i am covered for.

I will just have to be careful what i choose

    Thanks
  • Does anyone know if I can change bank details with GAP. I would like to change it from a bank account to a building society account. It only has a space for a sort code and an account number, but building societies have a roll or reference number as well. If I just put the two bits on info in does anyone know if I will get paid next time around.

and this is why a lot of clients have started wanting receipts, because of people abusing the system. Remember the client may have CCTV, check back on the details and see what you actually ordered and report back to the Company!

Please can all the posts that mention fees and expenses be edited, as this is breaking the terms and conditions of your contract and ruins it for the rest of us more serious shoppers!
    Thanks

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. I've not been well again for a while now and have reduced my jobs, had a good time last week in St Ives though but its knacked me out and I'm now having a PVS/CFS relapse so no jobs for me unless they're telephone ones :(

Hopefully it won't be too long before I'm back again. I knew I'd overdone it with taking on too many jobs when I first started. Oh well......

I still read the forum though and wanted to congratulate LTD on his newest arrival :)

And a quick mention of claiming for calls. I'd be a little wary of claiming a 'nominal' amount rather than actual costs as it is actual expenses that would need to be proved just in case there was ever an investigation. What I do is charge 20p per minute as thats what it would cost me when using my mobile if I use up my inclusive minutes. Which I never do, but its a fair system. And its not my idea, got that here :D Kinda like how you charge 40p a mile for petrol and 6p per printed page etc.

Sorry to hear you've not been well. Hope you are on the mend now.

I don't do a lot for Gap anymore but spotted a job in the town I was going to today for someone else. Came home and realised I'd forgotton to do the Gap job :o

Had to cancel it as it would cost too much in petrol and parking and I haven't got time to go back and do it. I'll probably get sacked now :o
Here I go again on my own....
