Yes - it's three months to register as self employed (Timmne will correct me if I'm wrong) but you'll need to make sure you do as it's not really worth risking a fine. What I'm doing is putting a couple of pounds a month away in a savings account - well my Mum anyway lol, ready to pay the tax bill next year which I'm hoping won't be too bad.

that sounds like a good idea, to be honest I cant see me earning that much extra on top on my wages to make any difference to what I pay in tax so fingers crossed!

Grr I'm trying to accept a job on RE for the same pub company I have done before, about a month ago but a completely diff location. However it won't load the assignment notes, its just going blank, is it broken or does that mean I can't do the job?

great now it has been taken up by someone else - not my day today
  • This mini break in London is very fruitful for me: 3 sandwich shops, 1 sushi shop and 1 pub lunch mean I am not paying for ANY of my meals!! Talk about moneysaving...
  • RE's phone lines are !!!!!!ed; I am guessing there may be a fault overall as I cannot get through on ANY number I try for them...

    From the Alerts Thread:
Lots more sandwiches on RE. Please note, RE confirmed with me, if you do one of the 2 big sandwich companies (the 3 or 4 letter ones), you can not see the assignments for their competitor on RE's site any longer. This is because they're in direct competition with eachother and have requested people do not shop both clients. I am referring to the 4 letter ones in this alert. HTH

That's odd. I did a 3 letter one last week for them and I can see both up there now.

Or is this from now? I remember someone mentioning it before.

    Choices, choices...
It's not a lot of work unless you have to do it.
  • Damn, I wish I was nearer London, I could max out on sandwiches - there's loads!!

It is odd, since I have just picked up one of each!
  • Well, I have not been able to see the 3 letter ones for 2-4 months and I only just asked because I used to go there a lot when in London but have only seen the other one near me so was not bothered but now I am on a mini break in London I fancied a change and was told I could only do one or the other for the reasons they stated. They said if thereis a deadline they have to meet then they will bend the rules, otherwise not.
