Might just be worth checking that to be on the safe side. On the plus side, though, the Gfk reports don't usually take too long to do.
Yes, they did that to me.0 -
Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone has used www.mystery-shoppers.co.uk before? If so are they a good company to become a mystery shopper for? Any advice would be grateful - thanks.0 -
Can anyone remind me when Assossia pay pls? I'm thinking back to those juice visits in Aug and was hoping to have been paid at the end of the month? cheers.
I did one of those, too and I was just wondering the same thing yesterday! I checked on their website and it says jobs done after 16th are paid 15th of the following month. Mine was done around 20th Aug so I'm expecting to get paid within the next couple of weeks.0 -
sinderella wrote: »scaredy cat - re the bank jobs - I recently did 4 of these and I think that you are playing a role and only have to tell them that you have an account already - you just basically need to be someone who is eligible for a regular account to enable staff to be able to offer you the products that you are assessing whether or not they offer you (if that makes sense) and not one of those people who only qualify for a sub-prime type account.
I've noticed you seem really worried about all this - I hope in time you relax a little!

Thanks for that Sinderella. I am a very nervous and shy person actually. Since I was made redundant a couple of years ago I've kind of retreated into a shell and I only get to interact with other people at school or shopping, so I hoped doing this would help build my confidence back up.
To be honest, I feel it did help at first, and I really enjoyed the first few weeks of being a spy. Now suddenly nerves have kicked in for no apparent reason. All I can think is that I've taken on too much and I'm starting to realise I haven't left myself enough time for the things I'm supposed to be doing!
Once this week is over, I only have a handful of jobs booked for the rest of the month. I think I just need to take a step back and make sure I don't take on too much. I like doing this but I don't want to do it full-time. Of course, the difficulty is with Christmas fast approaching I'm going to feel obliged to keep booking jobs because I need the money!
Thanks for the concern!0 -
Hi Scaredy
I think you are right, it will be a good way of building up your confidence and keeping your jobs to a manageable level is probably more important than extra Christmas money (even though the need for spondoolicks can feel v. urgent), but I say that because if you take on too much and get freaked you may have to give it up, whereas keep it manageable and you can keep doing it for long term financial help.Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

ps fitzal - just noticed we weren't charged for either dessert
didn't notice at the time cos the bill was fairly high - but it does say '1 go ahead £0.00' on the receipt - maybe they are doing a promotion? I've already entered my results, teacher's pet that I am, so I didn't alert them to it...
Sinderella - I thought restaurants do this ('1 go ahead £0.00') when the starters are finished and so to tell the kitchen the table is ready for main course. But maybe not? Anyway I'm glad Im not the only one, and hopefully they will take it has something for the restaurant to work on and not penalise us because we didnt order 2*3courses!0 -

I signed up with them about a year ago and still have never done a job. I've only ever had 2 emails from them and in both cases I was beaten to the jobs by someone else. Personally I much prefer the companies where you can log on a search for jobs rather than have to wait for them to contact you.0 -

I think you're right - thanks! It is quite an enjoyable way to make a few extra quid, but I think I need to keep it in balance.
I've just come back from 2 jobs - total fee for the day will be around £25. OK... however, total (unnecessary) spend for the day more like £48!!!!! I think I'm doing something wrong here! I guess I should keep away from shop jobs where I can buy xmas pressies, shouldn't I???? :rotfl:0 -
I have to do a shop tomorrow where I have to buy shoes and them send them back. I have not done one like this before. It is for AA. Has anyone ever had a problem getting the money refunded? Also do I claim for packaging as well as postage?0

I did the same job last month where I had to purchase shoes along with a couple of others for this company where I had to purchase items.
These were the first jobs I had done for them and I received all my money back and fees, in the form of a cheque, very quickly, so don't worry.Sealed Pot Callenge No 0740
