Relative newbie to this lark so hi.
Has anyone else had an email from GfK asking about a very risky betting assignment with a fairly hefty fee?
I meet the criteria but I'm not sure if I want to do it. I had a look through the forums and can't find a lot of info. It's not a lot of work unless you have to do it.0 -

Hi - yeah I had the e-mail this afternoon but must admit it looked a bit too out there for me. I got as far as putting in some money (I think it was a few hundred pounds) and having a good credit history and I started to phase out.
It did look a little bit too complicated for my liking so I won't be doing it.0 -
They will pay back all the money but it had to be out of your account for two weeks which I can't really go for...0

You need household income of 40k!!!
God, if we had that much coming in, I wouldn't be doing this MS stuff in the first place! :rotfl:0 -

I posted it on the alerts page too.
If you don't understand spread-betting then you are as well leaving it alone.
You need £500 of your own cash to start out with, which is refunded at the end.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Ah so you did. I only had a brief look and missed that one.
I understand it well enough, and like I said I meet the criteria it's just that it's October to December - and I'm going to be busy, but not quite busy enough to dismiss it out of hand. I was looking for the extra info to learn the subtleties of it.
Decisions, decisions.....It's not a lot of work unless you have to do it.0 -

Heh - living in London and doing a (relatively) decent job it isn't that hard to make it. Cost of living and all that though....
Brother lives in Spain and earns (by UK standards) a pittance. Quality of life? Exponentially better.....
I do the MS stuff because I enjoy it - Scots background helps
I worked retail for a few years so I know what it's like on the other side....It's not a lot of work unless you have to do it.0 -

I put myself forward for Gfk spread assignments.
It appears a good thing really, £75 fee, refund any losses up to £500 and you can keep any profits.
