Nah, I'd have had 70 guaranteed by the end of the first week that way. This way, I'll just have the same 10 at the end of the week that I started with!
Has anyone used comparedby.us? A friend sent me a link and I've written a couple of reviews worth $1 or $2 each, but I'm struggling to find things to review as the search facility is pants. Anyone been paid by them?0 -
now i've gone away and come back again it all makes more sense!

Phew, glad Hypno was checking out that system with you .... carrying items over till you've done them, and not adding to the list till then, sounds more sensible than what I was fearing. I've just got a scribbled list today, but I do need to try to do most of what's on it over the next 2 days. GL with yours!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hey Pandapaws, SOA updated now, thanks for the shove!
I'm glad you're doing little daily tasks, its quite nice and I'm thinking now that, "well its only one tiny thing I have to do today so its not that hard really is it?"
I've got a feeling I need a very large injection of motivation and your thread is certainly helping! Good luck.0 -
Hi Katie! Welcome to this madhouse. Please don't follow my challenges too closely, or you'll probably realise that I'm very good at setting them and pants at following them through.
Sorry if I panicked anyone with the thought of the infinite list. No, definitely any tasks carried forward count as part of the following day's 10. Yesterday I did 7 of my tasks (however these did include such difficult things as 'charge my phone' and 'ring my mother', so it's not as impressive as it may sound!), so I carried forward the other 3 and added another 7 today but I've not done many of those. I have, however, almost finished the gutting of Adam's room. We've also almost got a driveway again, and we may actually have a working shower room at some point this weekend.
I've just posted an enormous list on Freecycle and am regretting it already - I've had about 2 dozen emails in less than 10 minutes. One item I posted was a Thomas the tank engine canvas wardrobe, and I don't know how on earth I'll choose as almost every response so far is saying that their little boy is Thomas mad etc etc, and nearly bringing a tear to my eyes! I think I must be going soft in the head as I feel so sad for all the other little boys who aren't going to get it. Come on Panda, get a grip!
Off too check out Shazzer's updated SOA...0 -
I really have absolutely no idea what you are on about - infinite/definite lists!! :rotfl:Guess I shall have to read some previous posts, rather than the last one working my way to the top of the page.
Thomas the Tank Engine - very surprised you didn't put that on eBay. I wanted a little train from the series so being lazy thought I would pick one up from eBay. Except that people were placing high enough bids for me to go and buy several of the damn things. Obviously lots of driven (mad) parents out there.
Good job I haven't joined your challenge - I have spent the last two days making lists about lists I need to make and then promptly losing all of them - can never work out if it is better to have loose pieces of paper to lose or a book in which to lose the lists? Anyway I'm currently at the point where I think if it is important enough someone will remind me it hasn't be done....but now I'm sitting here wondering if anybody would bother to tell me...ok, off to try and find my lists.
Catch up soon!

Starting reading your diary from 1st as easier that way. When I stuck kids kick boxing/taekwondo stuff on I sent an email checking age of kids due to the size of stuff, and then gave them to person with most appropriate age range. I guess with Thomas tank engine its more a case of lucky dip.Count how many have enquired after it but don't look at names or story, then chose a number and give it to that person.19th March 2007 LBM£5,969.63 1st January 2018 £5960.18, 1st January 2019 £11,032.0018th August 2023 £12,435.00, Student Loan £22244.00 From 2009-12Challenges: To learn to stop spending..0

Penny, thats a good idea - and Floxxie! I thought of you as organised - well, I guess you *are* organised! Thats a great post, I love it - thats exactly the kind of thing I think about.
Panda, hugs to you feeling sad for all the other little boys. And I know what you mean about the size of some of the things on the lists, some of them are tiny, but then, some are huge - renovating a room, for instance!2023: the year I get to buy a car0
