Thanks! Got the super-cheap solid birch block worktop from Ikea which we're going to stain dark walnut to sit it on to match the dark wood floor, large plain white tiles to put brick-effect and a back-to-wall loo. Hoping it will look very contemporary and clean!

At the moment however, it's neither, a bit like the rest of the house :o

As a testement to my love of spreadsheets, I've made my squares out of one:

    163636317_o.jpg

Each box has the amount owed in it, in £70 intervals. 1200 squares = 1200 days, starting at 84k.

    That's a lot of boxes!

I love your sig amy, that's pretty much what we said last week. Loans seem to go down steadily but it's the cards that are forever getting switched around and never seem to get any smaller! If it was me, I wouldn't be able to resist paying £2.48 to get below the 20k!

How sad am I? I couldn't get to sleep last night because I was too excited at the thought of getting up this morning, updating my spreadsheet and colouring in some of my squares. That really is obsession.

This morning's payments have seen £3090 come out of the bank: £1618.51 to bills/mortgage, £1455.29 to debt repayments and £16.20 to Tesco.

So our debt total reduces to £83,577. I've just coloured in 7 boxes. I love this!
