Well I survived the injections - they were painful though but not as bad as I was expecting after I was told that I could have gas and air if I wanted  . My back is now throbbing so I am taking it easy now.

AnW'sMum- I can't join you for a glass of wine -I'm not allowed alcohol today so I'll have a cup of tea instead.

Hugs to all with freezer problems - the smell is disgusting isn't it, when mine got turned off the smell made me feel sick.

Mudbath - have a good holiday

Pigpen - please may I be excused from cleaning tomorrow? - I can provide a doctors note lol

Boddy I think I’d be hovering at 6am, and yes life is for living…….so why cant I do something instead of feeling like I owe it to my family to be doing X, Y and Z

Ok so what have I been up to.

Massive row was caused by something simple as usual. I normally have an old beach towel in front of the back door so catch muddy paws (and feet) as they come in but had removed it to wash (easier than door mats). I walk in from work to find a pale yellow tea towel on the floor which I obviously complained about!. His response was its my bl0ddy teatowel and my bl0ddy floor and if I want to put it there I will! I picked it up and walked off upstairs. Of course things moved on from there when we were eating tea, he’d made Bolognese and when I offered to help was asked to cook the spaghetti which I duly did. Eating tea he had a go at me for not cooking the bread! Well I saw it out! But he hadn’t asked me to do it. Went from bad to worse then when he said my DS couldn’t go with us on Sunday to his cousins 50th party so I said I wasn’t going. He actually had DD (aged 9) in tears being so nasty about him, she was screaming but daddy its my brother and I love him. He also went on to say that it was his house as well and he had a say in it – to which I replied perhaps you better have a go bl0ddy cleaning it as well instead of me all the time ripping the poster off the wall. His reply - well I never asked you to  . I spent the rest of the evening consoling her while he sat in the living room in what I guess was a drunken stupor – well I found a bottle of red wine empty and another half gone. He never bothered coming to bed and has been a sulk ever since judging by the texts I’ve had today. Luckily he’s going in to do overtime tonight and I told him it was prob for the best that he wasn’t around. :D

Anyway I will attempt to fly tonight after I have given both my kids a big hug and fed them their tea.

    Catch you all later

Froddington - my ligament damage to my thumb has taken longer to heal than the broken bone BUT it's ok now and I did overdo it at the beginning. Please learn from my mistake and don't do too much. I know I felt like a fake not doing stuff in the beginning so did it anyway...I paid for it!! Ooooh, that was a lecture wasn't it....didn't mean it to be;)

No worries! I won't do too much - the bones are actually still broken but the plates are holding so well that there's no danger of them moving and the consultant is happy for me to do some strengthening and resistance stuff. I can't move anything much heavier than a glass with that hand but am getting a good range of functional movement back - wrist and elbow still need work tho!! And it all aches so that stops me overdoing it! It has been 15 weeks though, so am able to do loads more than I was.

DS1 has just heard today that he can go to the Reading Festival - he applied to be one of the staff. Please don't let him trip over anything

Serena, I worked there for the last 2 years - had to cancel my place this year cos of the broken arm :( It's great fun, you meet loads of people and everyone is really friendly. Feel free to ask any questions!!

Right, I've put some stuff up on ebay. Consoled DD when she popped round. She's being very brave. She said she's so focussed on holding everything together at work that as soon as she leaves, it all has to come out and she has a sob again. But, she seems to be coping. She's gone off to the gym.

Welcome back AnW'smum - glad you had a lovely holiday - gross about the freezer!
    Welcome aboard FlipFlop
    Have a fantastic holiday Mudbath
Kaz - big hugs on the OH front..

Right off to forage for dinner. Stir fry methinks....
