Thanks for everyone's good wishes. Think i'm about ready. Off to have a bath and then sleep if I can. Speak to you all in a week and a half!

I've left the fondue in the corner (thanks Pigpen) if anyone wants to dip in. Not much left because it's very yummy (and now I know i'm totally mad!).

    Kaz what is Quicken?

    Hi
its a programme you can put all your bank accounts account, log spending, run reports on your spending, comparisons etc, reconcile statements and much more. OH has been using it for about 10 years now and its amazing to see what you've spent, and where you've spent it over that time.

  • Wow keeping up with all these posts is a challenge in itself!

I have remembered a couple of people which is all I can manage at the mo - sorry to anyone who feels left out, there are spare hugs on offer, I could do with one! :)

kazmeister big hugs to you, my OH was in an awful mood last night, felt like he wanted an argument but of course when we did argue it was my fault because I always have to be right!

davman you are brave, I hate injections of any kind.

Anyway hope you don't mind but I came on for a bit of a rant! I only started this flying lark recently and I had been really beating myself up (in fact if the last couple of days are anything to go by the antenatal depression doesn't seem to have lessened much at all.) and reading the words on the site really made me smile and cheered me up. I decided I'd shine my sink and that would be my focusing point, every time I saw it I gave myself a great big hug (in my head!! Oh dear, I sound a bit mad!! :rotfl:) Then that night before I'd even managed to go to bed the lodger did his usual trick of filling the sink full of washing up water and washing up... great start... but then he leaves it for 2 days!!!   Now this wasn't so bad when we lived in a flat with a cutlery rinsing bit in the middle of the sink but in this house we only have the one sink, so any rinsing has to wait until he has done the washing up and that includes emptying half drunk cups of tea, soggy coco pops remnants etc so they all get left for ages to stain and go rank and I hate it. I hate having to put my hand through the cold greasy water (which just makes everything slimy and dirtier!) to pull out the plug and then deal with the resulting lumps of soggy smelly food which get caught in the food trap too.

Anyway, this first night I ended up in tears over my ruined hard work with the shiny sink until my mum came over in the morning and we cleared it all out, wiped around with some stardrops and I saw that the grease had stopped its usual habit of clinging to the sides! I asked the lodger to please not soak crockery etc (We have a dishwasher!!) and if he had to soak the grill pan, saucepans etc if he could do it out of the sink. He said I was crazy but agreed and all was fine for a few days. Then he just conveniently forgot again!! So I patiently got the washing up bowl we bought for use at the flat (which didn't fit in the sink there) and put it in the sink. I thought perhaps he didn't like cluttering up the work surface with too many soaking pans. I was happy for the next couple of days as he used that - but tonight I tried to go one step too far and left the washing up bowl on the side - which apparently is impossible to understand because my sink is full again of washing up, most of which doesn't need soaking and all of which is going to be sat in cold greasy water by the morning. (In fact now that I think about it, he has moved the dry dirty plates etc out of the washing up bowl and into the sink to soak!!)

I just give up, really. If he wasn't moving out in 3 weeks I might have the energy to say something but I have Had Enough now. I give up. Anything for an easy life! OH complains about having to look at the washing up pile but I can't be bothered to run around after him any more so will only be dealing with our mess from now on. And the washing up bowl will be staying firmly in the sink.

I have decided I am too good at empathy. Will explain that one later when I get my breath back. :rotfl:

I'm convinced it's the weather you know. DH and I fell out last night, all day and part of this evening. I had a whine earlier on on the thread. Felt crap all day because of it.
Mind you I did receive an apology tonight though.
