Afternoon! Am feeling very good this morning as I've finished sorting out the kitchen cupboards and have bag of stuff to go to the charity shop! The old baking tins have gone in the pile of stuff to go to the recycling centre later! Now when my new stuff arrives - I have somewhere to put it!!!
Next on my attacking radar is DD2s room to go through the wardrobe and cull the things that no longer fit and pass them on to my sister for her little one.
We're off for a swim later (it's family splash time so loads of floats and inflatables and not much swimming) - then MIL offered to cook dinner for us and I thought it would be rude to say no!!!!!!!!
Last time we went swimming I threw cossies in my bag thinking I had one for each of the girls and for me. When they were changed and DS and DH were in the pool I realised that the black cossie with white piping that looked like mine was in fact DD1s new school cossie. Managed to SQUEEEEEEEZE myself into the 9-10 cossie and stagger onto poolside!! Lycra can't half stretch!!!!:rotfl: Will try harder with the bag packing today!
Hugs to those in need - esp mojt
mo477 - you are a complete star!

Ahh.... Toots *sniff* you made me get all choked....in a good way! That's so lovely. Glad you had some lovely memories. Funny thing is, I've been wanting to write Toots every time, and kept altering it to Tooti! So Toots it is then, if that's ok with you?
Right lovely Flyladies, I'm off on me Jollies now. Happy flying, soft warm comforting strokes to anyone feeling low/p*ss*d off/miserable. See you all in 2 weeks. xxxxxx

Hippy I've just googled cleaning feather duvets, and it should be fine to use the bio powder etc. You just have to make sure that you give it a good shake once it's dry, so that it fluffs up the feathers again, or take it to the launderette to put in their tumble drier.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

I don't think it helped me having a six month old when she died as I think that I stayed in the house anyway IYSWIM. I plan on going to a few mother and toddler places when they start in the new term. The problem is DH doesn't seem to understand how clicky these places are. I have been before and you are not allowed to sit on certain seats because they are reserved for their friends. They even turn there back on me. Have to say it doesn't feel good.
He moans that I don't socialise when we go out but I spend my time keeping an eye on the children. They are so important to me. Hmm also realised that I often babble so people don't tend to listen to me. (Are you still there) so tend to just say nothing.
Really sorry didn't mean to sound so sad
You need a strategy then - toddler groups shouldn't be cliquey but I know they can be (I used to run one) - so one strategy would be to comment favourably on someones toddler/buggy/method of feeding ...whatever - pathetic i know but if you ask someone for advice or a question it can get a conversation started... For other social events have a comment on a news item that's current - but not too controversial - keep it light. What used to be called 'small talk' I think. You have to have something up your sleeve.
Whatever you do say though keep it positive. If you know what you are going to say you won't babble. Hope you don't mind!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Are you a member of netmums?
They normally have a meet-a-mum section so you could perhaps arrange to get someone to go with you or just meet for a coffee. It's a pity you don't live closer to any of us .NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20
