Thanks for the comments, Soappie G&B is right it's a Mathematics and Statistics Degree I was working towards, or backwards from :o I sat up until 3.30am studying, no further forward with TMA, sat until 4.30am crying and considering what to do next. I think at present a sensible option would be, to complete one of my courses and try to pass one at least rather than failing both. If I choose to continue both I will have an additional 2 TMA assignments, one CMA and an exam, which at the minute, seems impossible within a few weeks in addition to the TMA and exam due for the other. I am going to speak to the regional office on Monday about it anyway. Dormouse syndrme hasn't helped this of course, it's been one of those things where I fight it and study tired or sleep and miss study time. At the mo it's playing havoc with my holidays, DP is having to watch the boys while I fall asleep when we're away.

Enough moaning! I can't do anything until Monday so I am not going to. Well apart from pack my books to take with me. Must get the lawn cut, hoping the lawnmower will last just doing the front again, too much and it smells like it's on fire but not wanting to buy a new one until next week. I wonder if I can get it's main cut done in half an hour, not in strimming, will try!
One day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone, WM and TD on already and everyone feed and nearly dressed.
Plan today plenty off flying ( i will finish the washing and finish our room), hope to do abit of baking aswell.

Lil_me i agree with Dusty, wait till september and see then once children are back into the routine of school.

G&B hope the man is ok.

CraftyScholar i wear glasses for reading, computer and driving. Only have the one pair and for some reason when i put them on they make my vision blurry then i get used to them and when i take them off my sight goes blurry again, i really must get retested.

On the Bo front, i rang this morning and they said he had a great night and put weight on both back legs but finds it difficult to sit. They even took him for a short walk last night. The vet said he'd ring later and that Bo should be home this evening as it will bring him on quicker being around familiar faces and he's pining (sp)for us, so all good.:D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

It depends. I'm starting to find that baking my own bread is not that much cheaper as we seem to go through more of it. :o The cakes depend on what type I make (the spiced prune cake though is best home made though - I've never seen it in the shops and I'll be pricing it up next time I make it ;) ). This weekend will be the first time I've attempted quiche so that still remains to be seen. :rotfl::rotfl:

Yes I find we eat more, I seem to be making a loaf every day, where before I probably bought a white sliced twice a week. As for cakes I find I get loads of brownie points for home baking :D, it's a good bargaining point with my son - I bribe him with muffins or a sponge cake when I want him to mow the lawn for me. I wouldn't buy cakes and biscuits so no money saving there for me, but it's nice to hear him say my baking is 'awesome' or '!!!!!ing' - yes this last is actually a compliment in teenspeak

This site never fails to amaze me - not only money saving and support for all things monetary but also heloing to sort out my slovenly housekeeping!

Have made a start this week with windows and some paint work cleaning so will now try to keep up with the rest of the daily "dos"!

But DS is back from camp this weekend so may get bogged down in mountains of wet smelly gear to be sorted before we can go on to other clearing up

    Thanks!

I remember this well, my eldest DS used to bring the patrol tent home to be dried as well  a heavy canvas tent which used to take days to dry, and groundsheets we used to have to put over the washing line and hose down.

Great news about Bo, I am sure he will be pleased to see you. It must be quite traumatic for a dog to be hurt and taken away from his owners, this really upset me when mine had to have an op, I had to take him into the vet Friday and didn't get him home until Monday, although the vet did ring me every day.

    My list :
    1. Study 30mins on train home.
    2. Bake - will wait until DD comes home and do it with her, I can't be faffed today.
Just gone to get my stuff out to get dressed and found all my wearable jeans are in the wash again :o (I need to loose this weight that's crept back on :o ) so I'm going to sling them in the drier with some "hungry" towels while I have a bath. THEN I'm going to somewhere to study. I don't know where, I was going to go to the park but the forecast is rain, its also windy so not exactly ideal for reading  I think I just need to get out and blow the cobwebs away. Aunt Flo is here and its making me fuzzy and miserable (although someone has just asked me out for a drink so that's cheered me up a bit :o) so I'm not in the mood to sit in the house and study as I'll end up either falling asleep or watching TV or playing games on Facebook. :o

I've done a job I've been putting off - I got a letter Thursday from the CC company that they'd increased my limit AGAIN  I've been putting off ringing them up to drop my limit but I did it this morning (the increase had taken it up to £6450, it was £5700, but I've dropped it to £4,500 so there is still money available on it, but I won't be tempted and I'll drop it again IF Ex can help out clearing some of the outstanding balance) , THEN to top it all off I enquired as to whether Ex was still on the account and he is :mad: I sent them 2 letters in March about taking him off the account :mad::mad: I'm not happy. I'll send them another one, only this time I'll send it recorded so I know it gets there

Need to go and check emails and stuff
