Ahhh, I'm from Winchester side of Andover originally (nearer Winchester though)! Laverstoke is on the Andover/Basingstoke road so it's the other side. If you'd like me to, I could ask my uncle from Wilton if he knows of any that way, but I see you've found one that delivers to you now.

I know there is a lot of discussion over whther or not they are value for money; the ones I get are! I get them from www.rivernene.co.uk

For £12.00 - Med veg box I got:
    2 kholrabi
    1KG new potatoes
    1 200g salad pack
    1 red leaf lettuce
    4 large red peppers
    6 5" courgettes
    1 punnet mushrooms
    1 large bunch carrots
1 large bunch red spring onions
    6 large tomatoes
    6 med onions

    In the £7.85 Fruit box:

    2 large grapefruit
    1 punnet red currants
    3 pears
    6 apples
    5 kiwi
6 nectarines. (should have had bananas, but they were too ripe, so they sent the kiwi instead)

I also got yogurt, eggs, apple juice, portobella mushrooms, and coffee, all organic.

How much do you get in your veg box and where is it from?? Also, the flyer in my box was talking about the supermarket middlemen (the ones that package + wash the veg in stores) and that they are already having a hard time getting veg and that there may not be much in the stores by Sept. as harvests have been bad in a lot of countries, including the ones the UK gets food from like Holland + Spain.

I should also say that I dont go for the 'value' foods and buying the cheapest because it is cheap.

Its silly how it works but I feel I would get much better value for money if I ordered a bigger box and cooked loads of batches with it. I normally pay about £11 and I would get:

    3 courgettes
    2 small aubegines
    2 red peppers
    Beetroot bunch
    One big lettuce
    Punnet of cherry tomatoes
    Punnet of mushrooms
    Bunch carrots

The thing is I think the extra would go to waste. I really need to get some soup recipes I think!

I think the more people you have the more econimical it is. Maybe I could group together with mum and dad and share a big box?

Just to say I've used River Nene as well and been impressed. The fruit and veg box is better than just the veg box IMO
