i would like to look into a scheme, tried able and cole they dont do my area, any ideas? i know its going to cost a little more but im hopeing it will encourage a better choice of fruit/veg in my house

They are also doing a get your first box half price when you order for the first time so it may be worth a go

When you enter your postcode and get a form up to enter your details if you scroll down to the bottom it will tell you what day they deliver to your area (took me ages to find that! LOL)

Try searching on there. I usually go for smaller independant traders than franchise/large companies, just based on experience and knowing how little one of the big ones offered a friend for their produce aswell as the 'food miles' the ones further away add on.

What may be of interest to you, if you care about local produce, is that a farm very near you in Andover is preparing to join with Riverford, and take over the local area. This was announced in the Farm newsletter that comes with the boxes. You can read it if you click on "Farm news" and look at 24 May 2007.

Thank you, have made 1st order with them as it looks like great value, getting 1st delivery wednesday then ever 2 weeks after as i have gone for the large box which hopefully will see us nearly the 2 weeks

Ive also ordered but only the medium box as it looked like the best value for me on my own, if its any good then I may also be trying the small box every 2 weeks

Only problem I can see is I dont like potatoes so Im going to have to either
learn to like them
or swop them for something else (well if I can persuade my friend to swop them anyway LOL)

recieved first order today seems good value for money, when boys are alsleep and i have a bit more time i will update on what my box contained for the price, there are a few things ive never had/cooked with etc before and its silly things nothing that most people dont normally buy
